What the hell?

My 7 month old male just bit the hell out of my 3 year old in the face! Now, i have had the dog since he was 8 weeks old and have took him everywhere and socialized the hell out of him, he doesnt even bother other animals! he gets along fine with our cats, the neoghbors chickens and ducks that wonder around out in the yard and everyone else, he was lying in the floor and the boy was sitting beside him and all the sudden i heard the dog growl and the boy started crying and i looked and he had 2 teeth marks in his lip and cheek,, why?? why would a dog that is freindly and sociable do this? I had him nueterd about 6 weeks ago also. This makes no sense to me, i have pits for the last 10 years and NEVER had one bite anyone! Now i have to give him up, i just dont understand though, he has been raised the right way. He usually just licks everyone to death. I hate this!

Were you watching the dog while he did it. It might have been a little love nibble my dog always does that and sometimes it will hurt. But i just wouldnt jump to conclusions thinking the dog is a child killer. Sit down with your little boy and ask him word for word what he wasd oing with the dog so you can get a good idea of what happen.

 

Theres no telling why he did it, since you werent looking you dont know if the kid was pulling an ear or something, but youd figure 7mos is old enough to know better by now, if he bit like that for no reason I know what id do to him...click click...bang.

Last time I checked a growl + bite"love nibble"=brains splatterd.Point blank.If you cant do it call a freind.No way in hell would he make it to the pound,As swamper said,"no offense"it's what I would do in a split second.But thats only if the dog made it to the gun.I'd uleash and most likely bare handedly kill it.

 

Just give it to someone that dont have kids so it can get a good home and live the rest of its life. Dont shot it what good will that do you.

what happends if later in life some kids wander into where the dog is?? Just because people dont have kids doenst mean the dog wont come in contact with them sooner or later.. why take the chance???

IF the pup is really kid aggressive there is nothing more to do but make sure it will never ever hurt a child again...

 

What good it does for him is gets a potential problem out of his house and isnt putting it into someone elses! It needs to be shot, thats the only right thing to do at this point. Doing anything else would be extremely selfish. Dont worry brother, this one wasnt worth keeping anyways......and you are doing everyone a favor. Better ones will come your way. Maybe you are confused, or maybe you just had a typo. The dog bit his child in the face I believe, not another dog.

Yeah if the dog really did bite the kid then yeah it should be killed. BUT i dont know about yall but my dog will sometimes come and lick my chin and nibble on it for some odd reason. So what i am saying is maybe the kid took it the wrong way as a realy bite when it might have been a love nibble lol. Thats why he should get the whole story from the kid. And if the dog really bit him then take it to the pound to be kille or you can shot it any other way.
