Bull Terriers ???

Not too long ago I found this little white bull terrier probably 6 or 7 months old. I ended up taking it to the shelter due to failed attempts to locate the owner, but the short week that it was at my house it showed many signs of what I look for in a game dog. I was just wondering if any of you have ever seen a bull terrier used as a working dog. I asked my buddy what he thought, he told me when he grew up he grew up around a very notable dog man and said that he had a bull terrier, and said it was because the dog would put in 20 to 25 minutes wide open before hed quit and it was just a test dummy. I wonder if there is any body who has kept a quiet working line of BTs or if anyone has ever seen a good one?

There's some good video of man working his Bull Terrier on hogs on Utube if you look around. The man claims his BT was the best hog dog he ever had despite being a bit on the small size for the job.

Heard about a recent good one guy I met said they can be good in random crosses till this day but not consistent at all. Kinda like the staff deal every now and then there is a proper one. Fuckin riddled with health problems as well....but I would mind a nice one.

I'm not 100% sure but I think all the working game lines for the bull terrier are long gone

I've owned 2 in my life and they are great dogs.saw a few when i was younger that broke legs and would f**k your dog up,but then would qiut for no reason. My dogs were pets and always thought they were to pretty to do work and besides they have another dog that reigns supreme in that catagory and we all know who that is.

I like Bull Terriers, and if I ever bought one I would just be buying it for it's goofy personality, not for any working purpose.

If I got one though, it would be a Miniature Bull Terrier, and those things are pricey as all get out.

Yep, if I remember correctly they pretty much are the working strain of the BT after being brought over with the British Colonials.

Bull terriers from working lines, not the eggheads who are too top heavy to work lol are great working animals, seen them on hogs and they do wonderful.
