Why is it that........?

So here is my question, why is it that everyone out there nowadays feels the need to have a dog that can, more or less, outdo an apbt!?!? I've had cane corso, presa canario, boxer, rottweiler, and mastiff owners come up to me and said their dogs are stronger than mine and can bite down 10 times as hard and would crush my dog in a fight. I've had german shepherd and doberman owners come up to me to proclaim that their dogs are faster than my dog and would eat my dog alive in a fight. Why??? Why in the hell does the noble American Pitbull Terrier attract assholes that either A) Chooses to embrace the qualities in a negative aspect by breeding mixed mutts and calling them pitbulls or B) Go out of their way to research for a breed of dog that is "bigger and badder" than the apbt and then talks shit about the apbt. What the fuck is the point???? Is it just me, or do people have way too much free time on their hands?

 

I don't know man, but I get a kick out of it. I had a guy when I was in the Army keep telling me his fighting Rooster would kill my pit, he said it a billion times. Finally I said, "Let's do it, you put your pink slip up and I'll put mine up, I'll grab my dog and we'll go to your farm." He finally shut up. Fucking fighting chicken going to kill my game bred pit, uh huh. That was the craziest scenario I've heard.:p

 

Is this random people yal run into? i dont ever get that. i did one time have a friend about 2 years ago say his lab caoul take out my dog when she was a pup. goofy looking overweight dog. lazy as all hell.. i think they just wanna try to provethat their dog is tougher than yours. poundfor pound no dog even comes close....

 

My quickest response is, "Why aren't the called Pit Dobermans, Pit Mastiffs, Pit Shepherds, exactly, next question...."

People tend to believe size and strength/weight are keys in their assumption of their dogs chances against an APBT. They have no clue about the APBT's ability, endurance/wind, and that little "G" word. Let alone the fact that the APBT is pound for pound the strongest and fastest in, lets say, the "power to weight ratio".

 

yeah yeah I get it from fellow hog hunters, theyve said their big catchdogs could beat mine, then I replied that I dont think so, my lil doggies would simply wear theirs out,crush the face and cut through their dogs shoulders like butter, ...sometimes it takes a response like that rather than showing them...always bring up the fact that mine could simply make theirs quit, and give up.watch their faces when you tell them this,plain silence.

i had this scenario really happen...a guy with a ban-dog, (pit mastiff cross)
had heard about my old dog Louie and came to the "park" to find me.
a typical big mouth fag dirt bag out to prove himself....the story goes and ends like this. he parked alittle down the road from where we were all kickin-it,...i seen him out of the corner of my eye as soon as he took his dog out, which is common practice when owning a real bulldog. he's with another guy, and they set up shop on a park bench while "Louie" is working a branch 8 ft up a tree. after some time( about 20 mins)
he saunters over all half cocked with confidence and says i heard your dog is pretty tuff...i give a small "eh"... and turn my back on him and give Louie alittle encouragement to "work son" and he scampers up the tree again to grab the branch.
then i put alittle more tone in my voice and he really starts giving some nice effort...the guy i can tell is having second thoughts...but like a true dick head he must
go ahead with his plan to best me with his sceeme to concur the famous louie...
he starts becoming agitated (as to talk himself into this mess he now realizes is a handful) and says, " i got suttin for yah"... i said that walrus you brought with you?
he said, 'well see'... i said go get it...so he brings back this pizza fed pos thats panting hard from just sitting around this entire time (about an hr) meanwhile Louie's been working the branch all this time. i can tell he's nervous and unsure as i don't think he's ever seen a dog on dog..maybe he has idk,... i tell him, "look, I'll put a muzzle on my dog and i guarantee your dog will run as soon as my dog hits yours....the rest of the story ends exactly like that.

i don't understand why people want to keep trying to put other breeds up against the APBT. Breeds were created for different reasons. Folks are just silly.

My boerboel for instance, she was bred to protect. And that's what she does. A very strong, muscular, and surprisingly fast for her size dog, even with her joint problems. She will f*ck you up if you try to come in my house unannounced, come up to my vehicle, or mess with me. Which is why I got her. To display appropriate HA when needed.

And she's definitely put her fair share of holes in other dogs before. But she is no match for my APBT. Even though she weighs 115 and he's only 42. It happened once by accident. My APBT made her decide that she didn't want to fight anymore. Sure, he came out on the worse end as far as wounds, had to be stitched up with drain tubes and an overnight stay at the vet's. But the boerboel quit after only a few small punctures and limped for three days.

Why? cuz boerboels weren't bred to fight dogs. They were bred to attack intruders and protect their families. So why do people continue to insist on putting other breeds that were created for different reasons against the APBT which was created for one reason only? It drives me insane.

 

Because everyone has a lab that took on 2 "pitts", or a rott that killed the neighborhood pit bull.

The only people who say this stuff, or believe it, want to (believe) they have the baddest dog on the block. It's the same people that want dogmen to be shot for what they do, but also want a sneak peak into what their dog can actually do. They're also the same people whose pride and ego would be crushed when their 90lb GSD gets ragdolled by a [] dog.

People, in general, want to be the best and want to have the best.
