Yeh i was scratching my head a bit! I highly doubt hard mouth dogs bite in fear. Depending on circumstances ofcourse.

I thought the OP was a question directed at dogs we've seen.... I'm sure all the dogs mentioned bit hard, but the hardest that I've seen are Ch Yankee, Ch bad Rosemary and a daughter off Ch jethro. All three can finish in under 25 minutes and all three usually finish with only a few good holds.
As for the dogs mentioned, I would have to go with Zebo because any dog that goes out 7 times and never was hit in the rear, is impeccable animal. JMO

 

i would not be saying that online at all!!...i dont care how long ago it was!!....set urself up for failure imo!!...i havent seen nothing bite anything except for flirtpole!!

Lots of old timers question a hardbiting dog primarily because you never got to see him/her go the distance so even if the dog was to win six times in short order its gameness would still be questioned
because 15-20 mins does not mean a dog is game

 

About the hard mouthed dogs biting out of fear- Not saying I totally agree, but in studying old match reports, I have noticed a pattern of hard mouthed dogs biting hard only after they get in a sticky situation. It seems like some hard biting dogs only bit their hardest when they were getting hurt themselves. :confused: It's like they're there to play the game until it doesn't go their way and they get frustrated/worried and CRUNCH to end the match.

 

..I watched mtn mn's Ch.Homer go,he was relentless,I've owned several pups from him that were just as he was,,all mouth..IMO the hardest mouthed dogs were #1 Chinaman #2 Rickey Jones and Dr.Wood's "Wicked Wanda"(Jone's CH. Bubba X Jones & Wood's Ruby Red) she killed 7 or 8 in 5-7 minute rolls,then there's Kenny Gaine's Turtlebuster,he actually killed 3 verifiable Champions,,I had a son of Bobby Hall's Sampson bred to a daughter of Mtn Mn's Ch. Homer X Wicked Wanda breeding that killed 7 total,the longest going 11 minutes..
