Legends a house dog always has been. He rarely goes beyond the deck(besides doing his potty business) when the patio door is open to my fenced yard. Goes for car rides, snuggles with me on the couch. But he enjoys sleeping in his crate(open door policy ;) ) or on one of his comfy beds.

  2. I've got all house dogs. 3 of them, plus my room mate's dog. I don't mind dog smell, since they smell better than my ferrets.

And don't assume hair means the place is dirty. It's everywhere here from my Saint Bernard. I'd have to spend 6 hours a day vacuuming to make it perfectly hair free everyday. And even then it's fighting a losing battle.

  3. Yeah I have dogs in the house. You do have to clean a lot though. I bought a bad ass Orek Platinum vacuum cleaner that does a great job on the floors. Dusting is a never ending chore though. It's the price you pay for having them inside.

My boy has is own bed right next to mine. I try to keep him off my bed, but when im not around he suckers my wife into letting him on the bed.

that's very good that you understand giving more to each dog evenly is a benefit on your part as well very nice :). I know once I am going to get another or two they will be treated evenly no exceptions.

i believe most bulldogs need to be on chains , i think its almost part of their genetics & dont mind being on the chain , i havwe had a few that would break their teeth & damn near hang themselves , if it dont tear up shit & minds well i consider it every pup i have had starts off in the house untill its about 4 months old then goes to its chain spot , i have only 1 that comes in the house as it wants to :D

  15. Have always had house dogs. The only major problems that I have really had is them going through windows after the mailmen.

LOL CT you are in the Panhandle and you are worried about dog hair and what not what about the damn sand that you can vaccum up by the pound?

LOL I moved down here from ATL about 3 years ago. And I sweep 3-4 times a day and vacum twice a day. And no matter how much I do there is always sand. Out here we do not have dirt it is sand. And you track it in. I make my BF and everyone take their shoes off in the house. But that does not stop the damn sand.
