Are any reliable one's still around ? seems over the last year or so transporters have either been dropping out of sight or just have terrible service

I possibly need one to pick up a pup from Tx to go to Md so who does a long haul like that ?

Ok, you can try uship.com and let them bid on it, bit let me tell you this one. I hired one from there last Thursday. He told me he would leave Friday and be there with my pups on sat morning from LA to OH. He didn't show up until midnight sat night. Asked for more money than what HE bid for. Had his wife and 3 kids in a POS astro van. None of the kids had shoes or shirts. He didn't have shoes and they were just really redneck and homely lookin. The pups smelled like piss really bad. I was to send my male back to the guy who I got the pups from. I decided against my better judgement to go ahead and put him in the van. I figured what the heck, I already paid for this and it's only a 15 hr ride, the pups are here, not in the best condition but they're here. That was midnight sat night. Dude had a wreck. His van is overheating now, my male still isn't at the final destination and it's been almost 48 hrs. My buddy and I are pissed to say the least. So take it from me, screen hard or you might regret it like I do.

I wouldn't reccomend Raven. Uship is the best. Just be a little picky about who you let take the job. Check out their rating and profile. I love uship!

Yes, be very picky.......I turned down a bid for only $75 than what I paid and that guy was licensed and first aid certified for pets........I'm really kicking myself in the ass:(

Well, I got two pups brought up from LA to OH and one taken back down for $525 but I wish I would have paid $600 for the guy with the license cause even for $600 to come here and back, that's a good deal.

I would only recommend Eastcoast Transporters due to thats the only one I use (have used Tarheel Transporters too but , Shawns a good guy and is USDA certified to transport animals over state lines (this sounds retarded but people do actually get pulled over and if you got a lot of dogs with you transporting them you better make sure they have the proper licences or kiss that hound good by) He will only go up and down the east coast but can get you intouch with the guy that got him into it, another good guy to deal with and he will do east west north south.;)

I recently used them to get a pup from south ga and a dog from TX and they were very reliable, kept me updated n I know they have a coast to coast route comin up.

aint there some shit where they can ship em from airport to airport?

  12. air shipping is super stressful- plus with all the climate restrictions there is no way you;d get a bulldog out til sept probably- they wont ship if its over 75 degrees at any point in the flight.

American Airlines,$202 in the lower 48 states usually. Then you need a health certificate(my vet charges $8) and a crate. They're temp restrictions, usually 85 degrees, but it varies depending on the breed.Summer heat is a pain but if you can get an early morning flight you might beat the temperature problem.

I actually prefer air shipping to ground shipping, last ground shipper I had was awful.I've never had a problem with flying a dog. They usually arrive quicker and most of the ones I've got only had to be on the plane an hour or so.But they were short flights but would of still been a pretty long drive. In my cases a 9 hour drive was only a hour flight. They are also insured by the airport. They also won't get stopped and 'rescued" if the transporters papers aren't in order if they get shipped on a plane. So for pups I like air shipping.

Gh32, I completely agree. I shipped two by air and one by ground. Air is the way to go but from now on I'll prob do it myself.

  16. Delta does a C.O.D service so you can pay when you pick the dog up at the airport. It's nice not having to send someone the money to ship them. And they have raised the certificate of acclamation where it doesn't have to be 75 degrees or below, there are still a few temp regulations but more lax now than they used to be. Never had a problem shipping with Delta.

that redneck shirtless/ shoeless wonder sounds alot like jolly. if he is still transporting.........stay away!! your dogs will be much healthier.

  18. delta does not do COD anymore. and as of 2 weeks ago when i was looking to get one shipped it was still 75 degrees. continental has no climate restricitons but the dog has to be under 6 months and or 25 lbs, american airlines does it to...I personally would rather it take a lil longer and the dog be able to be let out to potty and what not than arrive to the new owner covered in piss and $hit.

LOL......does this Jolly live in Monroe, LA??? Damn dog still hasn't made it where it's going. My buddy is gonna have to drive 4 hours to get him. It's been since Saturday night.

They are all gonna wind up looking nasty if its a long drive. They all get car sick and throw up. Your lucky if your dog makes it without looking sick.
