yeah that dog just looks odd a slim body does not make him look any better IMO

Thats what im thinking, but he surely doesnt look like a "bully" at all. Definetely under fed.

 

He isn't underfed, please do not talk about someone else's dog when they are not here to defend themselves - that has always been a rule here and I do not want to be responsible for a trash talking session on someone else's animal starting when they are not here to defend. If you read the thread the pictures were posted in you would know the dog is growing more rapidly than the owner can put weight on him, it is a metabolism issue not an underfeeding issue. She listed her feed and there was nothing wrong with it, and at the time of the post was going to begin adding satin balls for weight. Unfortunately, I did a google search and found the thread on pit-bull chat, not a place I normally read and I know not a place many members here read so I can understand people not knowing the background.

Now I'm not sticking up for American Bullies, I hate the breed personally and find them pretty much useless - but the dog is indeed American Bully by breeding and is simply a 10 month old pup that is growing up faster than out. I don't think we need to accuse someone who isn't here of underfeeding their dog.

I also never said I think he looks "good" - I simply posted a picture that challenges what the original poster is claiming all bullies are. There are many styles of bully as was already stated to her in the thread and she did not seem to be "getting it" so I posted an example that she certainly could not argue the point on. She was claiming Tyson could not be an American Bully because he was not short and fat, so I posted a picture of an American Bully who certainly looks to be taking the opposite shape, tall and rangy.

This is the American Bully section of Pit Bull Chat. I am sure you will notice that many of the American Bullies posted are very similar to Tyson.

In all honesty, you could of just said it straight up that it was someone elses dog and explained why the dog looks the way it does. If i see what seems to be an underfed dog that is what i am going to say unless i am told otherwise. Maybe you should of included the information with the picture.

 

I've posted on this site for years and I've never ever said I have an American Bully AND I have made my opinion of them well known many times. I shouldn't have to state before every image used an example in a discussion that the dog is or is not mine. If it is mine, I will say so though, trust me. People use images on this site as examples all the time - I never in a million years thought anyone one this site would think I own a Razor's Edge dog, I've been outspoken about how I feel about American Bullies over and over. Thanks.

However, if you had bothered to read my post you would notice I did exactly what you requested - I think the quote below from my post states pretty obviously that is it not my dog.

 

Did you not read what i wrote? i never said it was your dog did i? i simply said your getting all sensitive about me saying this dog is underfed which to anyone that didnt know this dog had a condition would say the same thing, cry a river. What i said was the following: when you posted the pictures of that dog you should have stated that he has a condition that keeps him from gaining weight. Got it?

Sensitive, how so? By asking you to follow one of the rules, and explaining why the dog is like that. You consider that "getting sensitive"?

 

I didn't get sensitive about anything, and in your post you told me I should have stated the dog was not mine. I pointed out where I did. Right there it closes the door for talking about the condition of the dog without the owner present to defend themselves. I'm just trying to be respectful of the rules. Don't worry yourself too much buddy, there isn't any river being cried over you on my part.

I don't want to argue with you either, how about we just get back to the point of the thread, which is what the originally posted pictures being discussed here were intended to illustrate a point on - Tyson could very well be an American Bully. Honestly I think its just time this thread die anyway, I don't think the OP is learning much.

 

no, i learned. i understand now that Tyson may have Bully blood in him, or it is more likely because by your sayings there cant be a purepred american pit bulll terrier on that weight. i could not see it or accept it because i didnt know that a bully can be a fit (not ripped but not fat either) dog. i thought that a bully is a short legged fat dog that his head too was significantly different than that of a apbt. But a bully too, is a " pit bull", at least for me.Not apbt but "pit bull" like American Stafforshire terrier and Staffordshire bull terrier. So for me the fact is that Tyson propaply is NOT a purebred APBT because i dont have the papers to proove it, and because of his size, he is most likely to have some bully blood or americaN stafforshire terrier in his blood, but he is still a "PIT BULL".
