Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by bad company, May 7, 2010.

  1. How do they usually work...from what you have seen or heard

please insert the clauses dealing with the condition of the dog, feeding of the dog, cleaning the surrounding where the dog stay. Also look into issues when the dog falls ill.

also look into the clause regarding the dissolution of the agreement - giving notices etc.

The clause stating that the dog will not be used in contravention of any bylaws and regulation must be inserted.

Include the clause regarding the mating, be it accidental or otherwise.

Also, the clause dealing with damages arising out of negligence.

    I hope this helps.

I've sold a few dogs in the past and I've given away/farmed out way more than that.
If a dog was sold it's their dog and I can't say much about it after it leaves my yard!
But if I give it as a gift or farm it out there are three rules they must agree with and a hand shake seals the deal.

#1 If its a female it only gets bred by MY INSTRUCTION! " No outside blood"

#2 If you die, go to jail, or can't keep or properly take care of the dog for any reason - IT COME'S BACK TO ME!

#3 If you ever fuck me over, I WILL REPO the dog! And don't for a second ever THINK I WONT!

Those three rules are my three rules for a gifted/ farmed out dog, simple and easy enough to fallow I think!

I'm actually nice, I'm only hard when I have to be!
The third rule is more of a consequence for not fallowing rule #1 and #2 it's more like a rule to myself that I have to fallow. I don't like being that way, but I've been forced to be in the past!

bullnuts has it right,if a handshake cant seal the deal than you dont know the person well enough to hand a dog to them. rule #4 at 18mo.old or so I get to take him or her to the farm:D for a day. after that, A.he comes home with me and you get a pup.or B.you get him fixed an keep that p.o.s.

I feel ya! But not to many places to hide where I'm at tho. I'm pretty careful about placing a dog and keeping them close to me, I did repo a dog several years ago, but that little mother fucker stole it back! He's still around but he runs whenever I see him, and never takes his dog out from hiding! Lol I'm gonna get the dog back! I'll catch him slippin its just a matter of time! He should just really come talk to me and resolve this the easy way! Life is choices and consequences and he made a conscious choice! I'm all about forgiveness! But he has to man up re attach his testicles and come see me! Things will workout in his favor if he'll do that! A lot of people cant face the truth and answer for their trespasses on others they would rather RUN! So be it! It's an uncomfortable feeling always lookin over your shoulder for the truth to catch up with ya! He has no doubts or illusions on what he knows! And he knows- I AM THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!

i never understood the whole "farming out" thing. seems doing that is way too much trouble for the hassle. i don't "farm out" but rather give to local friends & the only agreement being is if it showing to be something i like. then i get a pup or two from any breeding i like down the road. when there within driving distance it's pretty easy to be in the know.

Well there are two types of farmouts, one like that the dog comes back to you to hunt and one that you keep the dog under strict rules.
All I do is farmouts and rarely have sold anything and so far I have not had a bad situation and I think it's mostly because I pick who to farm out to and not to anyone asking for one. I also make sure I have known the person for sometime and I explain the situation as well as the details of what I expect out of the dog.

There is actually a 3rd type of farmout that I have started to experiment with.
I will farmout with a cash fee and the only terms that I have is to keep the dog healthy and in top condition and that I will take an honest look at the dog and have breeding rights to the first 2 breedings or pups then the dog becomes completely there's.
There is nothing written as I believe in trusting the individual which is why I choose them.

If the deal goes wrong for any reason the person already knows I'm all business and that I'm not the one to mess with.

i don't get it what is the use of farming out dogs for the owner and for the person that's being farmed out to,if that said person can't bred unless it's with in ur guidelines!

If you want a female from me, I control the breeding rights.

With all of the American Bullies out there I would hate to see my line mixed into it. I do want want my females bred to death.

She will come with a pedigree, but no papers or breeding rights. If she has been fixed, there is insurance issues, or if the pup is going to travel over seas I can make an exception.

I had a lawyer "fix" a male he bought. We had a verbal agreement I would be able to use him as a stud before he was to be "fixed" at 2 1/2 years old. Many people are full of it.

It takes a special person to be able to work with.
Life happens. It is easy to loose your lines if not careful.:(

By giving a female to someone to be able to breed in the future, it helps preserve the breed while allowing the dogs the personal attention from their owners that they deserve.:)
