You can see her shivering at around 35 seconds. It is a little hard to tell in the video but I saw her shivering. You can really see how large her chain is in comparison to her body. She can barely run around and it was 25 degrees outside when this was taken We are there with Spay Neuter Kansas City, in the Pet Assistance Program.

What do all of you think about the video? Do you think the person whom taped this is going make too much of a big deal about a pit bull that is chained? Also in the video this dog does have a house with straw and a wind breaker.

The AR person whom filimed this says the chain is huge and this is cruel. So do many whom commented. Personally I don't think the chain is that big nor do I think PROPERLY chaining a dog is cruel. I have/had plenty of happy dogs on a chain outdoors. I want them to get a real APBT or APBT type dog and see what happens when you use a smaller chain or tether.

What are your opinions?

i dont see a problem just maybe removing that fence in between to give her mor room but in all she could just be a nosey bitch filming on private property???

 

You can get a smaller and lighter chain of a higher grade that will actually be stonger and much better for the dog than a large heavy chain.
Dog looks fine to me, people should mind there own ps and qs.

 

I agree, I would also remove that piece of fence to prevent the dog from hanging itself and maybe a higher grade dog house and I would consider a high grade four ply collar but besides that I don't really see anything wrong.

 

at the end of the second video there is another dog on the chain a couple yards away he looked fine why did she just film that dog it smells funny if she realy did care she would film each and every dog there

Prime example of why I crate my dogs inside when I leave. You never know what kind of nosey ninny is slithering about. :mad:

 

Dog looked healthy to me but I personally like alot more weight on them in the winter time. Especially since that dog house doesn't look to great. Chain is definitely to big and heavy. You can see the stress the chain is puting on the collar. Other then that I would ring that bitches neck if I saw a youtuber video with my dog on it and didn't know her ass was in my yard.

 

Looked like a 3/8 chain to me. The dog didn't look to me like the chain was slowing him down none but it was draggin on the collar. I'd at least get a 2" collar and tighten it up a bit. Tear out the fence......put up a privacy fence to keep the neighbors out. To me the chain is better than a 10 x 10 kennel. They get more excercise that way. And as far as the shivering, the dog would have been nice and warm in the box if she wasn't back there snooping around.

I would ask for a cleaner chain spot, a slightly smaller chain, more chain length and maybe upgrade the kennel, but the dog looks perfectly healthy and taken care of to me. That lady needs to mind her OWN bizniss.

 

Not alot of people can do the chain length because of their tethering laws.

I agree a cleaner chain spot should be in place along with a less heavy impacted chain, especially since this person's yard is so easily accessible to people like this nosy lady, it doesn't hurt to just have those two details attended to.

 

i might change a thing or two but they should worry about them selfs.the dogs alive and healthy.they can go the hell on.
