Air polution is bad in Mexico City, that's why they have all their home soccer games there to qualify for the world cup, the city is higher altitude than Denver and add bad polution and the opposing team is at a big disadvanatge. I imagine a dog not used it would be also.

4% oxygen content is a big change if your going toe to toe with somebody for 15 to 25 minutes and there trying to rip your head off...
if it wasnt i doubt the amount of professional fighters that train for big fights in the mountains would do it..

Also bike riders for the tour de France slepp in oxygen controlled tents to up the packed cell volume in their blood. Then when they train in an enviornment with a lot of oxygen they don't need it as much cause their body has adapted to using less. End result is better wind.

Say what you want about the guy, it's probably true. But he does his homework on these things.

lets say i live in Maui hawaii at an elevation of 10,000 feet above sea level, this is where i also train. now lets say im going to new orleans LA, where the elevation is 7 feet BELOW sea level, im going to have issues breathing because the air is denser. because the air is denser does not mean im going to have better wind than a guy who was born, lived, and trained in new orleans. its all about getting acclimated, if you dont get use to your environment for atleast 24hr. your going to be in trouble.

the reason most fighters train in high elevations is because its hard to breathe cool crisp air...yes you would be in trouble if you were to fight (outside) in the Humid air but since most rings are inside then you have an advantage because the air is usually cool and crisp just like mountain air...JMHO though
