No a stud fee or puppy price is worth what someone will pay for it. I am just saying don't be blinded by all the hype surrounding some dogs, bloodlines and kennels. I can think of a few dogs I regret not getting because they were not hunted in the mythical fastlane or down from so called fastlane dogs. To each his own. This is just a lesson I learned the hard way and would like to pass it on.

so you passed on dogs you saw hunt because it didnt come from a certain kennel and its the ''mythical fastlanes'' fault?

I am saying I was blinded by hype. I thought if it wasn't from a certain line or kennel it wasn't good. If you can't dig what I am saying a reading comprehension class may be needed.

  6. I didn't understand what you said either. But, what do i know. i spent all my life in college. LOL..

You feel the need to insult me because now that you think about what you just said sounds completely retarded.
I mean I cant comprehend somebody seeing a dog but not getting it because it didnt come from some kennel you probably never get the chance to see in action because your only a customer. I see why you feel how you feel about the Titles that attract $$$.
I cant comprehend it because I never bought a dog that I never seen minus Frisco(few hundred) and Boomer(free). Why would you spend money on dogs you never seen hunt or its offspring? Your mentor should have told you better hes there for a reason.
Have you ever seen bidding wars afterwards? they want that dog because they saw it and loved it, They dont know how its bred unless they had a laptop in the sticks.
You simply wanted to hang with the cool kids so i can comprehend that much.
If you cant be in there circle why would you go and spend money with them? spend money with the people that send you invites and just be content with who you are, if your on the outside looking in stay there, get in were you fit in.

His post was kinda all over the place. your the 3rd person that tried to make sense of it lol
Basically hes saying regardless of how good a dog was he saw if it wasnt from a certain kennel that he never saw it wasnt good wtf!!!!!!!

  9. the idea here is like a gamecock, gamedog. not mauling dog, although many rough dogs mauled game dogs, badly tore them up; but the gamedog weathered the storm and won then and will win now. mauling hard mouthed dogs went out with the romans. era 500 AD etc.

  10. What better selling point could you have then your own eyes. That is my feeling.

I am sorry for rambling and thank you all for the kind words. One day I will meet some dogmen of your caliber and be able to run with "the cool kids".

  13. If that is the way that you are going to be then I can tell you that you wont. Have a nice night..

  14. i understand what u saying now, the hype is about how one kennel vs another was breeding for puppies out of special parents.. the puppies are mucho denero, [lots of money]. the puppies could be out of some real bad untested but well bred parents. the puppies probably will not be any good, and you spent a fortune on them.

in the old days disciple played a crucial role; the dog man just wouldn't breed unless the dogs had performed. in the old days u got what u paid for. a pup from tested parents.

no hype just a performance bred puppies, where the pups had a greater chance of being performers themselve. odds are in their favor nor in the other litter.

don't buy from major advertisors. u can't trust those places.

  15. My idea of what the fast lane and slow lane are is somewhat different than most.

Slow Lane - the dogs compete and afterwards we all get together, help each other out with tending to the mutts and then sit down to a nice BBQ and talk dogs...etc.

Fast Lane - the dogs compete and afterwards we help clean up. Turn around to congratulate the winners and losers with good dogs and.... no one is there! they are all on the fast lane of the freeway heading home lol.

Seriously though, I believe what is meant by the fast lane is just the level of competition as was stated before. It has nothing to do with money or kennels, it has to do with the quality of dogs being brought and the level at which they are prepared. I believe befor the fast lane used to be called the core of the game, where the top breeders and conditioners were. Because of the quality of the dogs these shows do not last very long, usually under an hour. However do not for one second think that those dogs are not game because you will be greatly underestimating them. Their quality is such that they cause so much damage in a short time that they just don't last very long. The people in the fast lane are there because they have earned their place through experience and respect.

There isn't really any fast lane, slow lane, or any oother type of lane.
There are experienced dogmen, inexperienced dog men, and a lot in the middle.
Always there are some that decide they need a new name to show people how much better their dogs are than everyone elses. Nowdays fast lane sounds good, makes a few people feel good about their dogs, and gets a few extra dollars from those who do not know better.
One of the best things a person can do when someone starts talking about fast lane dogs is to step away slowly with both hands on your wallet.

Im no expert on bulldogs (yet) lol but IMO i think with the right BREEDING SCHOOLING, TESTING,CULLING,AN CONDITIONING program any bloodline can compete in the so called ''FASTLANE''

I'm not an expert either but I always thought as fastlane as the best of the best who are actually competeing. The ones who are in the fastlane traveling a few hundred miles to prove who is better. I think there are a lot of REALLY GOOD dogs who never see the fast lane these days because of how the laws are. To me I have no interest to hit the fast lane to try to prove my dogs are better than yours. As long as they can prove themselves to me that's all that matters. I like my freedom and I like my dogs and have no interest in losing either one.
