Blue dogs have been around for along time. Both show and go.
Every so often there will be a color that is popular at the time.
Years ago people thought the same way about white dogs. They were popular with some people and many complained they were mutts. For a time the red nose dogs were about the same. Over time people realized they were dogs just like any other color.
That is one thing that is good about the pit bull. It comes in all colors and sizes. Just because a dog is a certain color does not mean that it is a mutt. Mutts come in all colors.

I talked to ADBA they are saying colors with serious health risks like deafness and such so not the skin probs with the dilutes.

I have two blues that fit the standard and they are not bullies, they place at every show they go to. Just because you have not seen nice dogs who happen to be blue does not mean they are not out there. Ed Hinkle just put one of my bitches in a first place win over 8 other dogs. They are out there you just may not have seen them, Also there are blues that are CH's too. I think there may be more out there but they are not showing because of ppl being predigest against the color.

I can breed you a thick boned low-rider in red, black or buckskin, if you like. Blue dogs and bullys are not necessarily the same things.

if u can breed a black then u can damn sure get a blue,i have seen a blue dog come out of a brindle and white male and a white and black female the female was pure colby and the sire of the pups was of a litter she had 4 years prior to this breeding it was a fluke sure but it does happen

I think they should re-set the standards that they had til a few yrs ago and if the dog doesnt fit that there out...not color all the recent size changes for ex.

true apbt is supposed to be a working dog thats what molded its great tempermant, loyalty, tremendous strenght ,loving willingness to please ..even if you just have a family pet.
I agree. These qualities are getting harder by the day its to find it seams.

I dont think they should be thrown out just because of there color if there body, temperment, weight, height, and over all aspects are up to the standards then i dont think they should be taken out or faulted for color

now as for the merle the main reason that color is not allowed as far as i know is b/c apbts dont produce that color unless theyre are mixed this usually happens with cats. and such

what they shoul throw out tho is dogs that are not up to par and dont follow the standards like they should jmo

  13. But that is the thing the majority of ppl do associate blues with being bullys. Not everybody likes blues. From what I can tell ppl are against them. But why?Wasn't there game bred blues back in the day?

Dilute in both of it's forms (complete dilution, blue & blue fawn) & incomplete dilution (merle) does have at least one genetic fault directly associated with it; as does the color black, the color red, dogs that are white or white headed & dogs that are mid to large in size.

    Hope this helps.

    Blessings ...

again who cares us that have i'll be nice and call them non blue would never breed to them , its obvious even the ones that are like tan or brindle patches with white you can see the slightlly shadyness on the patches even if they had bogus pappers you would still see this , to me when their in the ring all but a few its like their invisable the judge probally see's the same their not hurtin anyone and as you see in the papper they no longer sell for$3,000 and the name razors edge is almost meaningless but thoes people are proud of them anyway i think i read something by g.h. the best dog is the one sitting next to you . i don't see no harm especially when i have no intrest at all in them
