pitting a truely blind dog

Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by okeefes pit boss, Feb 17, 2010.

  1. so ole floyd had a truely blind dog named blind billy..he put this dog in the box...what do you think??? personally i think it was wrong and gave the dog a huge disadvantage..this is my opinion whats yours...i think the dog should have been culled as soon as he found out he was blind..this could have been a genetic condition passed on to offspring if bred..he won some matches but lost some because his nose got tore up and billy could not find his opponent...let me know what you think...

Blind Billy was born in 1952 and I bought him 1953. My uncle had 4 ace roosters and we traded them with Earl Tudor for Blind Billy. He was a son of Dibo, and he wouldn’t fight until he was two and a half years old. He really was not blind. His eyes had always been a little weak, and in his last contest he was blind, yes. I won a real good match with him in :26 or :28. Then the second time, I was very young them, they tried to fool me. It was pretty dark in the place where the pit was set up and it was my turn to scratch Billy. Earl Tudor jumped up out joy when Billy was scratching towards the other dog. He was about halfway when he turned around to look at Earl and hit the pit wall. He never stopped looking for the other dog, but was counted out and lost that fight. We didn’t get the trophy that day but Billy was the best dog in the show and from then on they called him Blind Billy. Like I said before, his sire was the Dibo dog and I believe Howard Heinzl had something to do with that dog, Dibo was stolen when he was young and sold to a black man who owned a restaurant. Dibo’s real name was Runt and when he started at the age of 4 they picked him up again and matched him. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

This is true. READ his story before you pass judgement. Flyod is a true dogman and he knew what he was doing.

  14. Here's a thought for you folks.

Tudor's Dibo was born on March 21, 1951.

Earl Tudor did not get dibo until he was 3 years old, in 1954.

Tudor did not breed dibo until late 1955.

hmmm,, something just doesn't add up does it? lol

    Nice "story" anyway though lol.

Soon as I get this windows 7 thing figured out, anyone want to hear what Earl said about all that? from Earl's own mouth on tape? lol

Run boyz, it's an avalanche!

Let's hear it my friend. If you were smart you wouldn't give it away for free. I would pay to hear it. Did I just say that? Nevermind, someone help him get this audio out there.

never had a blind dog,but i could see the advantage in having an alligator that would wrestle a dog dog and end it because other senses would be heighted, but god forbid if a nose ridding dog got the upper hand and you did not get to see the blind monster.i would not bet my money on a dog like that, but if i saw him tested more than once i would breed to him.

ill say this much, if you have a blind dog who can compete and win you know you have a monster on your hands. as far as genetically passing blindness, im not far enough if my research on genetics to comment for certain so i wont. But thats a true warrior to me
