Zebo Cross

does anyone know of any modern day Zebo/Redboy crosses..im not planning on doing it its just for arguements sake..the reason im asking is because redboy dogs are known for there gameness and endurance and Zebo dogs are known for there punishing mouth but lack of gameness and endurance.so it seems like it could have potential as a well round bulldog if ever bred. if not can yall tell me about some known Zebo crosses that have worked? just trying to learn bout some lines that cross well outside of the redboy/jocko and redboy/jeep stuff...seems to be an all time favorite nowadays

relying on the NAME OF THE bloodline to throw specific traits is USELESS!

it all depend on the individual dogs and the men they came from.

if you got a guy that breeds the cross in question, but lets say breeds for papers and nothing more....................then your prolyy just gonna be gettin a bunch of shit eatin curs.


if the next guy (with the same cross as above) has a yard and all he breeds for is hardmouthed 10 min dogs then thats more than likely what youll end up with.


now if the 3rd person (again, with the same blood) breeds for gameness,mouth and over all ability along with smarts. tests his dogs and culls hard. then im sure this is the man that your gonna get the best odd's with.

my point being is you cant really create what you want just by breeding "so & so" to "such & such* without knowing how the DOGS themselves were bred and WHO bred them.

ive just read alot about this line and that line doing this and that but i cant recall coming across this before..now ive heard that frisco/redboy didnt cross well and thats why T.G got rid of his dogs off Bingo so i was wondering about maybe an alternative cross with the Zebo dogs (Mouth) and the Redboy dogs (gameness/endurance) but i was just going on percentages again..you know i cant get caught up in that sometimes...lol

 

Jeez LWG, kinda jumped the gun a bit. He was just asking if anyone has done the cross or any other Zebo crosses. Honest question.

 

Check Husband's Redboy Banger's offspring list. He's just one of many who have done that cross.

Sampson. See Juarez' "Crusher" also. He was a Lonzo/RBJ cross.

 

There are quite a few people who do the Zebo/redboy cross with success. It's nothing new really, there are good and bad in ever line, crossed or pure. I personally like the cross and I run it on my yard. JMO

just curious who did you hear that from because i have seen probably more of this cross than anyone an too say it dont work is way off.

 

i agree with what you said but to me its more in knowing the dogs traits an knowing what to breed for to better the next gen. everything eles being secondary
