Pit Bull Puppies Stolen From Orange County Backyard

Orlando, FL -- An Orange County family said someone stole a litter of pit bull puppies right out of their backyard. Because the value of the puppies is more than $1,000, deputies are calling it a case of grand theft.

The family had just left their home near Hoffner Avenue and 436 on Friday, when someone snatched the six pups.

The family filed a report with the sheriff's office.

Investigators say they were able to lift some fingerprints from the scene, but the family has little hope of seeing the pups ever again.

"It's like a part of you has been taken away," said dog owner Renee Leonard-Blount.

The family is offering a reward for the puppies. Call the Orange County Sheriff's Office if you have any information.

 

never the less, it is a shame we cant leave puppies in the back yard, without worrying about theives and such.

we have city hall festivals over here and last year they broken in my friends house and stole his litter of puppys 2.they wernt game dogs they were razors edge and some other stuff. dont like those dogs

It doesn't matter if the pups are inside or outside if some jerk wants the pups they are going to get them.

I've even heard of adult dog's get taken. By groups of people at one time

So they maybe or may not be BYB but just because they or someone else leaves there house and the dogs get stolen doesn't mean there BYB.

 

Well They Should Have Not Left Them Out Side That Was Just Like Here I Am Come And Get Me. But If They Really Cared About The Dogs They Would Not Have Mentioned The Money.

 

Outside or not a dog theif is a low form of life... I do agree that the money should not of been mentioned...

 

Sad for the puppy's not for the $$'s.
But you don't leave some pups outside with out any supervise when you are not at home.

 

We have pitbull security 24/7 lol
No J/K, someone is here 24/7 we dont even go on vacation because of it, but if you love the breed enough, its not a problem!!!

 

I'm starting to feel what you mean Marty about no vacation, My wife and I don't mind it because we love our dogs but everyone else doesn't see how we do it. But if we do go out of town for bussiness or what ever it maybe we do have someone stay.

but keeping a tight sercuity and not running your mouth and letting the whole world know what your doing and keep people from your house is a good start.

 

lol. I haven't been on vacation since 1999. However, we are headed to St. Louis on July 14-17 to check out a baseball game & then some dogs. But again, it's all about the damn dogs...................:rolleyes:

Yeah, I know this thread is old as dirt, but the money thing kept getting at me. If the dog had a litter of 5 pups @ $200 each, that is $1000. So why is everyone acting like little buddy was saying "Damn, I can't make my house payment now!"? I have had pups stolen from me but that was by the Humane Society due to some babies momma drama that is ongoing, so I can identify with the fact that it does feel like someone has taken a part of you.

 

That really does suck for the pups to get stolen, but leaving them in the backyard was pretty dumb...but i'm not sure about the money part thing..i personally would have "said" the same thing...just for when they get the bast*rds they get a grand theft on them..i'm sure if the dogs wern't worth anything it wouldn't be grand theft and there wouldln't be as much action took on it..trust me i know this situtation..one of my siters friends stole my dads safe at a party while he was out of state..except there was only a couple hundred dollars in it, and the cops would not take finger prints because it wasn't grand theft..stupid lazy cops.

Does it really matter where their puppies stayed?? ALL of my dogs including puppies live outside..A DOG THEIF IS SCUM, WHY MAKE EXCUSES FOR THEM? "oh well they shouldnt of left them outside" SO..AND YOUR POINT IS? The person who stole them had no buisness on the property period. I hate a liar and theif more than anything, I damn sure arent gonna make excuses for them...
