AG game-but how do you know that he would'nt have gone harder with its owner there ??? i agree and have been saying this form the begining a good dog will be a good dog and a cur will be a cur but i think it would go harder and longer with its owner and the one it spends time with more i think however this is only the case if you only have tops three or four dogs and you there always around you b/c if u have like 6 or up you dont have time to spend hours and hours withthem and they could honestly careless who there with in the [] jmo

bobby- i also agree with you this is a pointless argument b/c people dont just drop there beliefs b/c somone says so each has there own way

In my opinion, dogs don't fight each other to stay alive. They will run to stay alive. A cur will jump the box to save his/her own butt. I do agree that a good dog is good dog, but a bond will show the differnce of a good dog showing 80% of his ability versus him showing you 100%. Which is also the reason why some dogs look average or mediocre on a big yard and then look much better when moved to a smaller yard where they get more human contact. JMO

Glad I noticed this thread....I have a few things to say regarding just what I read on the first page. Jelet you need to stop trying to over analyze a fucking poem it is a poem..nothing more. You also have the nerve to call whomever wrote this poem a "Greenhorn".....What do you know about being a seasoned dogger? Quit casting judgment on people calling them greenhorns, and noobs when you still have so much to learn yourself. Over analyzing things doesn't make for smart posting, but what it does do is expose faulty reasoning. By the way....anytime you condition a dog a bond with the dog, and the time you spend with the dog is very important. A bond with your animal will make it work harder. Anytime I have ever conditioned a bulldog I always spend as much time with that dog as possible....it's crate get's put in our bedroom on my side of the bed. I am the first thing that animal see's in the morning, and the last thing it see's before it shuts it's eyes. These are not wild creatures no matter what some would say....domesticated animals need interaction, they thrive on it (most anyway). Anyway you cut it bonding is an extremely important fundamental to the subject at hand. A dog in top condition is good, but a dog in top condition with a bond to the one that work's it is much better.

heres a thought..from what ive been reading books with rules and stories etc over the years ..so just for a laugh....what if a dog "turns" like a spinning top when it aint got a hold, but scratches like a bullet to take hold.....cos by whats said......a turn is "supposed" to be a sign of not wanting carry on....yet when handled and turn to scratch......they fly across.......does that mean they aint game??.....cos id always thought from reading historical accounts its the scratch that provides the dog with the opportutinity to prove its somewhat game??.....

another poem.......I was born a gamedog this is me,on this chain dont you see,ive never run from a fight never turned in my life,my heart it beats with strength and glee when the old man comes to un hook me,for as we walk down this stoney lane, watchful eyes they dont complain, they know I dont strain to b heard above the rest ,the oldman knows im the best. no beast that ever stood in front of me ever caused fear or made me see that i was less than i knew to be,for in my heart I never quit, when things seemed worse ,when i was hardest hit.I just stayed true to my plan never let down this watchful old man,the one who picked me when i was a pup,who took care of me when things got rough. my blood it runs deepwith those from the past who made a stand to make it last, who lost so much along the way, family, friends its alot to payfor a way unseen to most,a gamedog life of this I boast.my line kept pure along the way culled and nurtured everyday, for this I feel as my heart it beats,I will not quit as I stand on my feet, just one more scratch to avoid defeat. I lived my days as they have come, never felt fear I have never run.I stand alone on this cold winter night,a chill in the air I have one more fight.but before I go I survey the yard, the young ones from me I know will fight hard.they will raise the standerd ,a new way to be.a chip off the block they will say, just like me. my blood they will carry today and forever,my mark on this game could not be better.and where Im going there will never be a gamer gamedog, no nothing like me. DEDICATED TO JAKE THE ONE AND ONLY NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. "POPEYE"

all poems written from the dogs view are GAY as fuck and put bullshit thoughts in the mind of the reader ...... it puts the dog on a level that they should never be at as a matter of fact its the same l,evel that PETA puts them on ..... now if everyone was able to read it and take it for the BS that it is then there would not be a problem but for the most part dipshits read it and start beleiveing that the dog really see's it that way or really feels that way and next thing you know they are bunny hugging bed wetters ......................... leave that shit a lone its hard enough fighting peta hsus and all the other alfabet groups and now we got so called dog folks putting bullshit out there lol keep it up .....
