Ive moved around alot the last few years so i have a little advice. Try and find a leasing company. These people tend to care a little bit less and you are less likely to get random stop by's. Their main concern is renting places out and i have never had a leasing company check on a property. Never rent from any one that is retired. These people like to stop by all the time. Try and go east where it is more rural and rent a horse type property or ag property. Try and feel out your neighbors, especially if youre not renting from a leasing company. Neighbors usually know the home owner and will call them up. Dont piss your neighbors off.
Also the only thing ive ever been asked of a leasing company was a picture of my dog. I usually fluff it up with a picture of my dog with a baby or something;). Every time i have been told that my dog looks a lot like a pitbull. I have always told them i adopted the dog and was told it was a terrier mix. But my dog is smaller than the publics idea of a "pitbull"
I would not buy any more dogs if i were you because it is much harder to find rentals with more than one dog. Most agents/home owners stay away from these types. The way the market is a lot of people are renting right now so it isnt all that hard to find renters so your kind of in their pocket... You will want good references for your dogs when you move so keep that in mind. References can make a big difference.
That is all i can think of now

Well usually that means your renting with a option in your agreement to purchase the home when your lease is up. Usually how that works is they will sign you a year or so lease and see if you like the house or the neighborhood and then if you do they usually take the rent you have paid in and deduct it from the selling price or use it like a down payment and then switch you over to a mortgage and you pay monthly just like rent.

Thing with these though is you have to be very careful and really read your contracts over. Much like rent to own appliance stores and such you often end up paying a absurd amount for a product. For example you will often see laptops and such priced in the ads in newspapers for say $15.00 a week but when you look at the span of the term that $15.00 per week ends up turning that laptop into about a $3,000 dollar investment, And you could purchase the same computer at a store for about $500.00 and own it out right.

With homes they will usually try to appeal to the lower income folks that have little or no credit and they do take advantage of it, They will say how nobody will lend to you and how this is almost always the first step for folks to establish credit and get a good home. What often ends up being the case is you will get a home worth about $75,000 and when it is all done with you will end up paying at least three times as much, Reason being is they are taking a risk and they hit you with high interest and then also they usually do not end up going over your original rent payment for your monthly mortgage payment which means they also span it out on something like a 60 year loan, There are some good rent to own setups out there but the majority of those setups you will end up in a situation where if you really liked the house and said to yourself "Ok I am going to stay here for the rest of my life" 9 times out of 10 you will die of old age and still end up owing money on the home.

If you are thinking of going that route you need someone very familiar with purchasing property, Someone very good at reading contracts, You need to have the home inspected from top to bottom before you purchase it, You need to go down to the city and get all the records on the home and also get the land records to be sure your getting exactly what they are saying you are,You need to get the people or company your dealing with checked out and see if they are on the up and up; And you just need to keep a level head and remember that you can negotiate the price with that type of setup just like you could with going through a Realtor, And remember you can always walk away if they can't or won't meet your terms. There is always someone out there willing to meet realistic terms.

Don't follow that advice, That was sarcastic advice not anything serious.

I live in the same area you do. I have 3 dogs. I've also rented multiple places with those 3 dogs. It is possible to do it correctly and w/out lying your butt off. Placing the 'want ad' on CL is a good idea as is Cheese's with the leasing co. It just takes 'searching' and on some occasions a decent sized security deposit. Sacramento and surrounding areas are definitely big enough where you will find someone. Also try looking for people who may be renting out a part of their house (upstairs/downstairs ect.) It can be a little bit of a pain but I find some to be more understanding but it also means you have to be super responsible about your dogs manners, ect. It was worth it to me to keep my dogs and not have to be paranoid all the time about someone 'finding out'.

No offense Dreamer, so please dont take any, but what difference does it make who sold him his dogs?
We dont know the conditions his dogs are kept in, are you insinuating that his grandmother is at risk? or the dogs are kept in a less than acceptable environment?
Just because he lives with his grandmother?
Just trying to gauge the meaning of your Question.

I don't want to speak for him, but I think what he is getting at is that USUALLY a person in that living arrangement is an 18 yo that isn't even responsible for themselves yet and probably has no business with a dog to begin with. Again, that certainly isn't always the case, but it isn't the ideal arrangement to look for when trying to place a dog.

    ABK Rest In Peace

I have to agree with Robber. Most responsible breeders will not place a dog with anyone who lives with their grandmother (or parents or friends, etc.). The reason being the situation usually ends up being too unstable for the dogs (i.e. case in point here).

    American Bullador
American Bulldog / Labrador Retriever Hybrid
The American Bullador is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the American Bulldog adn the Labrador Retriever. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

The Banter Bulldogge was developed by Mr. Todd Tripp of Southeast Ohio in the late 1990's. Mr. Tripp’s vision was to re-create the Brabanter Bullenbeisser of the 1700’s that was found in the central Belgium province known as Brabant. A strong working dog with a bully build, there legs still underneath them the Banter Bulldogges range from 50-85 lbs with a slight under bite and mostly solid in color with minimal amount of white. His foundation consisted or dogs that were a combination of boxer and various other working bull breeds. Most importantly of all was the regularity of using a percentage of Boxer in the foundation brood stock. Mr. Tripp was very discriminate in the choosing of dogs to form the foundation of his Banter Bulldogge breeding program. A great deal of research, thought and selective breeding was involved before he reached his final goal. The Brabanter Bullenbeisser was the small Bullenbeisser that was found as a family and working dog in the 1700's and early 1800's. The Brabanter Bullenbeisser was the smaller more bully type of mastiff that was used to create the modern day Boxer in conjunction with other larger Bavarian mastiffs and the obvious infusion of the "Old Time English Bulldogge's". It is also widely known that the Brabanter carried very little if any white until the 1830's when the first English type Bulldogge was first imported into Germany. They are used for weight pulling, working, hunting, guard and companion dogs.

It can be worse. The tenants that were renting from my boss at the job had a pit bull and an AmBull and the dogs tore that house up - $2200 in damage. On top of not getting their deposit back (thanks to a grease fire they didn't bother to mention) they're likely gonna go to court for the rest of the damages.

Yeah, I'm sure not this area of of the USA is so extreme as to take your dogs and euthanize them over you not mentioning them while renting...

Are your dogs licensed at Sac City Shelter? Get them licensed as Boxer/Lab mixes and if anything happens show the ACO, "Hey you guys approved them as this breed!" Our city doesn't ask to see the dog prior to licensing. They can't prove you were aware they were APBTs.

The licensing fee for an unaltered dog is $150. It's bullshit I know, because most people don't license anyway lol
