my dogs scream..

I got bitch from some heavy turtle buster stuff and she screams its the weirdest sound..what is it why don't she bark or growl she just screams?

its not something to go by but ive never come across a good bulldog that growls and barks lots. my dogs scream there heads off when they are amped up or see another dog. from all the dogs ive seen its pretty normal in the right situations, if its all the time tho it would shit me to tears

 

You might think im wierd but a bulldog screaming is one of my favourite sounds! Mine sounds like a choking gremlin when he sees another dog/cat

 

Ya... I've had quite a few screamers here. The worst was my ex's bitch that would scream so loud at ducks and geese she would sound like some demonic baby being ripped to shreds. :eek: lol

 

thats the sound Zoe! sometimes im suprised i havent had my neighbours call rspca up for animal cruelty with some of the shreiking thats come out of my yard over the years!

by the way sorrels85, it doesnt mean your dog wont bark, a bulldogs exitement noise is just that a scream, its normal i remember the first time i heard it i wondered what was happening to my dog!
mine will bark at me if i play with em or tease em a bit[ no i dont poke em with sticks ] i dont mind stirring em up a bit when they cant reach me on the chain and they will look at me with a "im not stupid" look on their face and give off a couple of barks .
mind you if i have been away from them awile and they havent seen me they go nuts and scream like crazy when they first make eye contact.

funny thing is people that actually own dogs to be tough dont understand that a bulldog that screams means bussiness, ive had guys walking their rotties across the street laugh and give me grief about my "loud whimpy pitbull" because of the noise while their boofhead dog bellows out a deep bark.
if they only knew!

Junkyard, I have had the same reaction toward some of the noises my dogs put out lol People think the high pitched and shrill noises these dogs make are them being worried or acting scared. You are right, if they only knew haha! My pup is a noisy fellow naturally, but I have noticed lately that the more quiet he gets, the more he means business.

 

Gaud... NO DOUBT! :eek: One time my girl Venus was spring poling and she used to SCREAM like some kinda rabid monkey and some guy was walking down the alley and started running towards our yard thinking we were hanging her! lol As he got closer and closer he realized she was having the time of her life. Man... did he look relieved! lol

 

Yeah, my dog screams and shrieks more than she ever barks. Even when she barks it's really high pitched. When she's chasing something down she makes the best noises.

 

my mutt (rip) was an awfull screamer...
make someone ring the door and it was all bark, but with dogs! I know he was dead on when he started screaming lol...
funny thing is... I heard people telling me "stop pulling on that leash you're strangeling him!" (yeah... sure! lol) and others "ohh but he just wants to play!" trust me, your dog ain't gonna like the way mine plays! :rolleyes:

I could read that dog like I read a book... his body language was very hard to understand, would even playbow at other dogs but still was all about fighting them so most people didn't have a clue about what he was up to...

plus, if he didn't scream it was probably OK, but if he did... just don't come ANY closer please! lol

I have a little bitch that is the screamer from hell. Demon possessed baby being torn to shreds does kinda sum it up.:eek: Her brother screams somewhat but nothing like her. They are 16 months old black and tans.

 

i own some of the tightest bred turlebuster dogs around an all off them are screamers lol post a ped of your turtlebuster dog

I know the feeling! My rascal bitch never shuts up, especially around feeding time.
