Id worm the dog. All my dogs are wormd and treated for fleas regular. Worm him and put him on a typical puppy food. His only a puppy so no need to worry about conditioning him. Buy the best you can offord after worming him and see how he goes.

I've only ever dealt with Stillwater before and the service was second to none.I live in Australia and Shane's sent me 22 collars and leads over from the U.S and I couldn't be happier with the product, price and service.Give him a call and he'll work something out on the shipping.

l thought my little boy was to thin at 4 months, but he looks more like defined with some rib and muscle tone, anyway he gets 3 feeds 120 grams each =360gr a day, morning minced beef with fat, lunch protein meat either turkey, chicken breasts or rabbit, for dinner he has fatty meat or protein meat.
Every morning he sips on bio goats milk (1cup),his first meal with (1tsp) salmon oil. l feed him a beef bone, chicken back as a meal every 3/4 days a week,l also feed him veggies like carrot, brocoli, zucchini and spinach 3/4 days (2 tbs) as a sider to his meals but only in pairs. He also eats slightly boiled egg once a week and 80 grams of chicken gizzards, beef liver once a week as a meal and during the day he gets a couple of slices of apple, pear and banana as a treat 2/3 times a week ,only 1 fruit at a time.
Now some might think that's 2 much or little but l have spent month reading an researching because the "raw feeding myths" has pissed me off with no this !no that.! I always new raw feed was much more healthier for my dog so l came up with this diet for him and he absolutely loves it and looks like a mink coat.l just wanted to share with everyone and l would love to hear ppls thoughts .
ps: this diet probably dont work for all pups, you can always mix and blend.;)

  10. Looks like you've put a lot of thought into it,that's way too complicated for me but if it's working for you that's great.Raw feeding's the best.

if your wanting to add weight on the pup worm him through.....then....if you can afford £5 a week buy some raw heart from a decent butcher....dice them.....boil them and give them to pup.they can be fattening but you can judge by eye how much to give and stop too much weight coming on! imo.

4 big handfulls!!!! Is that per meal or per day? And how many times do you feed a day? Sounds like you need to worm him to me.

Feeding raw eggs + eggshells is fine. Lots of protein in them and the shells have extra calcium and minerals that your dog/s need.

    Hi Rajenn

As youre in the UK, thought i'd let you know of a few places to get some good info from.

The Video Enhanced Guide 'Real Food for Dogs' by Dan Scott

That is an excellent site run by, someone who is now a very dear friend. He was raised in Australia on a cattle farm and their Australian Sheep Dogs were fed raw and lived until the ripe age of around 20. If you email him he will help you with any advice or worries you may have with feeding raw food. He released his book on Friday and I was sent a copy a while back, Real Food For Dogs by Daniel Scott. Brilliant book with everything you need to know about feeding raw and any other holistic and natural remedies for common canine problems. If it werent for this guy one of my dogs would have been PTS because of a severe skin allergy, but with his help and guidance shes' 100% better.
As for collars the best Nylon collars in the UK, by far are by Strong Stuff Collars.
    Hope this helps.

Nice puppy by the way and doesnt look under weight at all to me, some of my pups went through a phase where they just looked thin, long and dangly, but they do grow out of it, but also make sure he has been wormed regularly.

    All the best

All dogs/pups have worms...they are cystic and stay dormant in he muscle and come out in times of stress. Monthly worming will help...especially when feeding raw.

I reccomend cutting the kibble out if you are going to feed raw. The different digestion rates will cause fermentation.

Everytime I switch put my dogs on raw I either buy a 50lb case of chicken leg quarters, bbq size(small(bones aren't as dense)) OR a 50 lb case of whole fryer or roaster chickens.
I highly reccoment AIR CHILLED chicken, I don't even eat water chilled anymore, my dogs do way better on it.... Its expensive at the store, but don't buy your meat from the sotre unless the sales rival wholesale prices.
A whole case will only take up the bottom she'llf of the fridge or the whole freezer. If there is too much chicken, help your dogs out, eat 4 legs a day, you'll feel great ol
A 50lb case of bbq leg qs is approx 80 legs, abt 1/2lbs each. HAND FEED (until they slow down their eating, the whole chickens don't have to be held and will teach them to chew, but are more expensive))3 a day,to keep a steady weight of 55lbs. My pups get the same amount as the adults, with pups I reccomend just one per feeding tho,you can feed 2 at once..., 4-5 hours inbetween feedings. You can feed more or less, 3 seems to be the norm for my dogs, i feed 4 to put weight on. Feed 6 days a week.

When I switch I completely cut out all other food and treats etc. After the dog is shitting solid and/or the first case of chicken is done, a couple whole eggs, shells included, should be given a week. Some of my dogs won't eat the shells, I break them up and mix them with the egg in a bowl, they eat it np. Gizzard and liver too. Start to incorporate different meats after your first case. The dog may go through a detox, took one of my pups 3 weeks to have solid shit, but she gained weight the whole time... Keep them hydrated. I don't recommend giving cold water immediately after eating(especially during the detox), it dilutes the stomach acids.
I don't reccomend yogurt. Buy acidophilis refrigerated capsule and give one with a feeding, should help the intestinal bacteria. I don't use pumpkin anymore, up to debate why so I won't go into it..
    That should get you started.
