As far as the fence goes, he stuck his arm through the chain link (already has holes, all chain links have holes) and then through the hole in the 6 ft. wooden fence.

Several people in the area with children are talking about moving now. They had people on the news from the neighborhood making comments about the incindent. I think that Moore may get a BSL law going if they can. Oklahoma has a state that that prevents it, but unless someone who lives in Moore disputes the law it can go into effect.

PitbullLover - You are right, he's probally going to be afraid of all dogs from now on. I would think though that a dog can tell the difference between a human arm and something like a pole.

there really isnt much more to say, however the dogs were less than a year old, and they probly didnt even realize it was a human arm when they began......no socialization, and i must admit that a disembodied arm may indeed have seemed threatening to a young dog. as for what was said before about reaching into a dogs house or kennel that is different, it may only be your arm entering, but the rest of your body is also there for the dog to see and smell, this baby put his arm through a hole, the pups probly couldnt see the rest of him. a very very sad thing all around that could have been prevented by both parties.
