Extremely pleased with Stillwater Kennels

I recently purchased a Big Dog collar from SK. I know I am just one of many satisfied customers, but I am EXTREMELY impressed with the collar. It is sturdy, extremely well made, and was to my door within a week.
Anyone who hasn't looked into one, I would defiantly suggest it.

after getting mine I dont know why I didnt look into them sooner. I bought the big dog collar for $12 and then requested to have a name plate added to it. And I didnt even get charged for the name plate, im emailing to see about getting him the $3 that added on.
Its beefy as hell and cost almost the exact same as a shitty collar from petsmart /whatever retail store. the velcro end is really nice as it keeps the end from flapping loose and getting torn up.

Yes. They are real legit... His collars are extremely high quality. It is so high in quality that I plan to purchase a different collar from somewhere else when my dog goes to another dog show because Its so high quality that it hurts my dog a little when he pulls. Its so stiff and hard. Unless anyone has any suggestions to make it less stiff. My dog has a show collar from SWK for 7 months and its still a little stuff and hard. And it affects my dog when he pulls. I put on an old collar that was nice and soft and flexible. My dog pulled better with it and wasnt really bothering him. Next, I put the SWK collar on and my dog did not pull as good, and it seemed to bother him a bit.

So, I only will get the 2 tounge buckle 2" wide 4-Ply collar for my dog on the chain. But for condtioning/dog shows, I will get another collar from a different place that isnt such as high quality.

 

How did you all go about ordering your collars? I'm having a little trouble ordering.

I ordered my boys 2-inch collar through a different collar making site and it ended up costing me over $20 (including shipping) and I thought it was a little on the thin side. He hasn't even had it for a year and it's all torn up and fraying. Getting skunked and having to be soaked for so many hours and days did a real number on it too. The metal is all rusted. I'm definitely getting his next collar from Stillwater.

being a fellow bama boy ive got to brag a little about Stillwater Kennels they produce nothing but quality every collar on my yard came from there as well as my weight pull harnesses, leads, and some chain hardware you wont find the quality you find there at anywhere close to their prices throw in great customer service and quick shipping you just cant beat it

 

Jelet, I would wash it a couple times and the more your dog uses it the more it will break in. I have one from Blocky and i'm going through the same thing with mine. After I washed it a couple time sit got much better.

 

I washed it four times just for cleaning purposes in the past. But I will try that suggestion bigboy69. thank you. Hopefully it will help break it in. I'll wash it every other day and see how that goes.. (and put on his old collar on the mean time)

 

You could also put the collar and a set of sneakers in a pillow case and wash them together. the beating of the sneakers on the collar will help.
