i wont agree with this practice but i too have witnessed these type of muzzled rolls.
it can be safely done and its not to prove gameness it simply to aggravate the dogs
to provoke aggression and improve wrestling ability just as i stated earlier in the post.

Here you go with your simple thinking.
These dogs are already practically underground as it is. If you don't know that by now that then how can you be a gamedog owner. Can you just go in your local paper and get any gamebred dog you want?? Nope! Can you look on your phone book to get a listing of gamedog kennels?? Nope! You can't just happen to get pups off of jethro, or haunch, or mike, or mcguyver, or any other real gamedog without being in the know. You can't call Jeff and say, " hey bro, I want one of your pups" without him askin you who you are and how you got his number. He may even ask for references, why is that. Cause if you don't the right people with the right dogs, you will be limited in what you can get. Thus the word underground!! You can't walksown main st and say, " where's the weed spot" without looking like a fool or get moved along. This is reality, how ever weird it may sound. Underground is the same reason most gamedog breeders don't sell to the public.
Just because you raid a couple kennels and kill a couple hundred dogs, doesn't mean that gamedog breeders will tuck tale and run away and leave there dogs behind. Somebody somewhere will be an outlaw and go against the grain to keep this breed around. Are you not smart enough to understand this?? And muzzlewrestling in other countries is why the US still has the best dogs, because of dumb shit like that. I ain't debating this no more, so post all you want.

If done with the right equipment, i.e. Muzzles that fit right and let the dog breathe normally, then I see no real 'downside' to it as an action, mind you its still illegal, but I personally don't see anything wrong with it, does it prove your dog game?? Hahaha no, but I would think if a dog quit in that situation then you are most sure fire feeding a rank Curr.... Does it help a dog, or hurt a dog...? I have herd both arguments from well respected BullDog Men some say it frustrates a dog mentally and really hurts their ability, and others say it helps 'school' and helps ability and tactics, I don't disagree with the later statement. And one person I knew conditioned a few dogs like that back in the day, but they lost as much as they won, so who knows....

A lot of RoosterMen do a something similar with game cocks, they put little booties on their feet.

But is it stupid, no, I don't think so if done right.... legal? Nope, and if two ppl decided to go out and do it one weekend and got caught, they'd still go to jail for animal fighting.

Not trying to speak for the man but I guess he's sayin that you're not gonna know wether or not your dog is game from something like this but you'll definitely know if he's now. Not really a contradiction but, whatever.

Not my place to tell someone else what todo with their animals as long as they are using proper muzzles and the dog can breathe, its not really causing physical harm.
Personally, there are better ways I could spend my time than sitting around and watch 2 muzzled animals roll around.

I have meet about 8 out of the 10,000 on here that knows the difference between a good dog from a stop sign.
