It has no real benefit in my opinion!! It's just a big waste of time.

back in the day, im sure nobody considered this anything but detrimental to a good dogs schooling for obvious reasons.

 

elaborate on this if you may.

 

This is bound to get the response you want. But if you want my actual opinion I think it would be more frustrating than anything to the dog and as said above a complete waste of time.

 

Best legal way to test a dog in my opinion is hog hunting.

 

Muzzle wrestling, no clue. one dog vs. one hog= one dead dog.

 

Out of all the books I've read about the old days, i have maybe even heard of it done one or two times. Not enough for it to have been a regular practice or something fun to do.

 

cutt you're right- interesting the posts can't be found, they were here before all the changes were made....and the posts were definitely here, maybe they were on ROM too.

 

the reason for it now is to first see what wrestling skills your dog may have and the other reason is to build aggression through the frustration created by the muzzle.
