No, I dont breed ofrn dogs but if I were a breeder of ofrn that what I would say because I would want to have ofrn dogs.

down from corvino stock being the calibur of dog man he was (ive never met him) I do believe that knowing how important this dog was at the time
why wouldnt he breed dibo back into his ofrn stock
if he did then show me where dibo is seen in the peds of a true old family red nose dog I dont believe youll find one if so show me

He's wright about the fact that those breeders started with the irish dog's.
But not every irish dog was an ofrn :D.
Colby's galty was not red as many other irish dogs at that time.

more than any other dog, Centerpede helped launch the popularity of the Old Family Red Nose strain, although he was more often referred to at the time as a "Lightner dog." At the beginning of his career, Centipede may not have been a unanimous choice for best dog in the country, as his ability was so great that it was not known if he was game. Centipede was whelped about 1933 in the kennels of L. C. Owens in Texas. He was the result of Dan McCoy's having discovered that there was still some of the old Lightner blood down in Louisiana. McCoy and Bob Hemphill made the journey down to that part of the country and bought several dogs. Hemphill kept his close to the vest, but Dan McCoy was always on the move and couldn't keep dogs, so he left his with trusted friends, including Arthur Harvey and L. C. Owens in Amarillo, Texas. Owen's Mickey was bred to the renowned Harvey's Red Devil to produce the litter which contained Centipede. Bill Lightner and his wife were in their eighties, and they kept a kennel of basically small dogs of various coloration. Lightner and his wife were uncanny in their ability to select good brood stock. They had left the red, red-nosed dogs down in Louisiana because Lightner didn't like the looks of those dogs, and he felt they were coming out too big. Centipede would be an example of that, as his pit weight was 54 pounds.
Other than size, the only fault with Centipede was that he was a laid back dog and nearly impossible to work. Frustrated, Owens sold him to Earl Tudor.
Again,Frustrated, Tudor sold the dog to Dave Ferguson.
Dave toured the country, and he spent a lot of time in New York and in San Francisco. For that reason, he left the dog with various trusted friends in the dog game. Dave was a good hearted guy, and he always allowed that whoever was keeping the dog could not only breed to him, but stud him out as well.
Centipede died in the yard of D. A. McClintock, another genius with animals and a great lover of the Old Family Red Nose strain. By the time McClintock received the dog, he wasn't producing any more, but he took care of him and even gave him time in the house. Like Red Dunham before him, McClintock considered Centipede the smartest dog he had ever seen.

according to what i have read and learned about OFRN is that they were a tight bred family coming from ireland and where known as "old family" dogs and when they were inbred here in the states after a few generations they developed the red nose then were called "old family reds". after another few generations is when they finally had a consistent color pattern and the nose became more consistent with the red color and where finally called "old family red nose" dogs.
all OFRN dogs lineage is suppose to go back to this dog
    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=16180
    which is a lightner/colby breeding
now look VERY closely at these pedigrees and tell me what you see?
they are the foundation of OFRN today but all have an out with other blood in them

    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=1010

so the question is... are there any true OFRN dogs still alive?? the blood is not 100% pure like you thought. throughout history not all OFRN dogs had red noses and lightner himself kept other type of APBT's even blue ones and they were all mixed together.
here is some more for you to read

Ok, part II of your answer:

You answer your own question within your question, not to mention I believe Rallyracer has also already answered this for you on page 2.

You ask, if one is to outcross another family with an OFRN is it still considered an OFRN?

Answer: It is considered an outcross of an OFRN and whatever the other family would happen to be. As Rallyracer put it, "75% OFRN and 25% something else." This was addressed back on page 2 and you simply either overlooked it or decided to ignore it. For me personally, the ones I had I called OFRN crossed with Eli and OFRN crossed with Tombstone/Bolio.

Something tells me that you already know this and you just seem to be amused at arguing :)!

This is correct and as Big Game has previously stated, it was just a term!

For example, "Old Eli Blood!" (Now, don't go starting a post on this, lol)

    thank you for saying that
the OFRN when transported to america ws already established as a family
the family was kept so tight that they began to display they the red/rednose coloration because of the lack genes in the family

cause back then people didnt believe in outcrossing this is a fairly new meathod
in those times familys were kept pure of outside influance
    and inbreeding wasnt uncommon
