Docked Tails or Natural ?

Happy tail. I have one that wags so vigorously she would get happy tail repeatedly (breaking open the skin on the end of her tail) We bandaged her and cleaned the wound constantly, but she would always re-injure it, until the last two vertabrae became necrotic. So we had to amputate them. If she were to continue this and injure the new end of her tail, we were considering docking, but thankfully she has calmed down some and doesn't get happy tail as often anymore.

 

Docked tail -- absolutely NOT!!!

Cropped ears -- depends on the line of dog. Colby,Sorrels,OFRN maybe----Eli NEVER!!!

I personally will NEVER crop a dogs ears again. I did my first red nose male and he looks good but I regreted it years later. Natural ears give your dog that personal, unique character. As far as docking a bulldogs tail it is pointless to argue about it I guess but it is just something you DONT do.

 

after getting a new pup i have been asked a few times if i was going to dock the tail.... my answer is always,"have you ever seen a apbt w its tail docked?" looking back i cant think of any and i havent crossed anyone that could answer back w an yes yet.

 

i definitely say natural..i think that docking tail or cropping ears wont make dog..i prefer natural way..as nature has created them..

 

waa?? so i was'nt supose to dock all my eli dogs tails and crop there ears ??...uh oh....lol j/k
