just out of curiosity, and this is not ment to be rude or put you down in anyway.. This question comes up alot from people

now I realise that the ped of your dog might not matter to you.. and its just something you are researching for fun.. so PLEASE dont take this the wrong way.. its actually directed towards everyone not ment to point a finger, etc.

Why dont more people look into the parents, grandparents of a pup before they buy it? Any good breeder (the breeder of the pup you bought) should know alot about the parents, grandparents and the breeders they got their pups from. If they dont have that info (it doesnt matter if the dog is registered or not..if you are breeding dogs, you should be breeding solid dogs and know at least the backgrounds, etc of the parents) then why doesnt it put up a red flag? (hmm..this breeder knows nothing of the dogs he or she is breeding..)

Again.. Im not yelling, putting you down, etc. Im not saying you are planning on breeding, etc.. Its excellent that you are researching history on your pup, trying to locate breeders etc.

    Good luck on your quest!!

*disclaimer this post is not ment to insult, put down, make anyone angry, directed at any one individual, etc. It is only for better understanding of the people that buy apbts

Rocksteady i understand what you are saying completly but when i got my pup she didn't have papers and i don't think these people even to meant to breed the dogs (accidents happen) but i took the pup because i noticed that they were just giving the puppies to ghetto people that in my opinion just wanted them to look tough or whatever. i felt bad and wish i could have taken the whole litter (5 pups) but that was not feasible. i know lucy is a apbt but i have no idea what her bloodline is, her parents were just house pets that the stupid owner never got fixed. her parents are very nice looking dogs, and i think the owner may even have papers for the parents, but i didn't really care to be involved with the guy any further, i love my pup and i had her spayed so i guess i don't need papers or to know the background. lucy is getting to be a better pup everyday and is healthy and active and a sweetheart, so i guess i got lucky when i basically rescued her from going home with a thug who would not love her like i do.

oh pitlver, did you see my lucy she is B/W too!! love the markings on the B/W, looks like a little cow. you should post pics.

This is why you should help educate. This is why there are people out there who educate. A lot of people dont know what to do or look for when purchasing a pup.

Yea - but how can we educate people beforehand, if they don't try to do some research? I understand what rocksteady is saying completely. It'd just be nice if more people came on here saying something like: "I'm thinking of buying a pup from so-and-so. Can you help me with research?" instead of: "I just bought a pup from so-and-so. Can you help me with research?" IMO - the research should be done before buying a pup. People just don't take owning an animal seriously enough, period. That's bad enough with any other breed, but with an APBT it's even worse. That's just my take on it.

Everything you two are saying is very understandable, BUT you also need to take in consideration that every person that logs on here has not done their research before obtaining an APBT. Therefore, we should(or whoever wants to), take the initiative to educate them. Thats all Im saying. In other words you can't expect NOT to get certain types of questions on and you sure can't expect everyone on here to have done research before they have purchased a dog.

good post, i agree, in my situation i wasn't even looking for a puppy, and i just happened to get her, and i think it is better to help people raise their pups right than to send them away and let them make mistakes like i did, now i have a lot of correcting to do, and it is time consuming and frustrating, but i do it for the love of my pup, if everyone did research before hand, this place wouldn't be nearly as fun, lol

I'm not saying by any means that we should send someone packing. They've already got the pup - it would be irresponsible of us to send em packing. It is our responsibility to educate. And part of that is letting people know of their mistakes. JMHO.

As for the original question - I've never heard of either of those dogs or breeders. I took a quick look a pedigrees online and couldn't find anything. No offense, but why aren't you asking the breeder for info? I understand that maybe you didn't think to when you bought your pup, but what is stopping you now? Just curious.

any breeder can appear to to be a good breeder and the breeder of my pup took good care of him and the rest of his littermates. the mother and father are both registered and i am waiting for my paper to come back on my pup. i was just trying to find out if anyone had any dealings with them as this was my first time. stop jumping to conclusions and being so quick to judge people.

and still noone has stated if they had any dealings with these breeders and that was all i was tryin to find out anyone but me see the pattern

WOW you completely DID NOT read my post. Please reread it as you will see I was not putting you down, jumping to conclusions..etc I was VERY VERY clear on that point Usually I would say I am sorry for the misunderstanding but theres no misunderstanding here.. I was perfectly clear I was not cutting you down or soley directing the post at you

And to answer other s questions.. this goes for anybreed of dog. If you read or look on "how to choose the right puppy" or anything to that degree you will find one of the points they make is to research before you buy. A breeder should be able to show you a pedigree, give details of dogs in pedigree etc.

I guess Pitlvr didn't read my post either. Some people only see what they want to...I told you, for what it's worth, that I didn't know anything about the sire and dam of your dog, and that a search on peds online turned up nothing. I also asked why you weren't asking the breeder for background info. They should be able to provide you with a ped...you shouldn't have to ask us or wait for your paperwork to get back.

    pitlver Pup

for the record i did ask the breeder and got the information from her. AGAIN all i was asking was if anyone had any dealings with them nothin more nothin less i am not trying to argue or debate researching dogs or breeders, i read everyones post and i truly appreicate everyone input but 85% of the posts were in left field.

You must understand that 80% of the time people post questions like yours and they clearly didnt do any research.. None of us are mind readers lol and we dont have crystal balls so when some posts about "does anyone know I just bought" it comes across as someone who bought a dog on a whim....
