and the base is what needs the final 2 welds! then it is usable! i had bolts but didn't like the movement of it! It has a 25' diameter!

I really like to see folks doing dog diy stuff, the satisfaction you will have seeing your conditioned dogs after training on equipment you made yourself will be all the more satisfying.....I really liked the dog houses you made too buck...good on you!

    thanks for sharing.

I'm going to make it out of 4x4 tubing under the table for stability. and i like the in ground style tent poles to really ground it. Another source for this material is old unwanted playstructure equipment if you know any one who builds new ones, ask for the old unwanted " Deamed unsafe equipment" it is a great way to get free material for building projects. It seems very 5-6yrs they have new rules and guidlines for the schools equipment the kids play on , or asy your city worker frinds or local township workers. that is how i get most of my material. my brother builds new plastic equipment for schools cities and towns all over Ontario. So ask around for the free material it is really worth the trip with the trailer I think anyway, saved me a lot of money anyway!!!!;) and most are plesed to avoid the dump fee to get rid of the unwanted material.

Plus its a great way to get preasure treated timber for kennels as well.

And for the fabrication help a case of beer gets a buddies interest pretty quickly on a sunny weekend!;)

looks good. I'm interested in how it turned out myself. Buck, what do you do for a living if you don't mind me asking?

Anyone seen this one? Made from what looks like an old gate.

Not bad but the bar where the dog is hooked up to is too low...should be ower the dog and not at his side!

Thats a cool idea!! Makes things easier! I wanted a portsble /colapsable one... but when you eliminate the concreted fondations a lot of them use, you end up with a deadly ,spinning pile of metal with your dog tied to it! :o

so something like that, with a box on the bottom, you fill with sand is what i'm thinking. Or just pour concrete in the box and put chains in it, (when pouring). Then you can lift it with the Tractor.

I wanted movable cause I'm renting the Land I use. And am hoping to move all equipment, to my own place one day.

It swung 2 times like a crazy pile of metal, and then fell over!!!, wasn't supported enough! at the base. (no dogs were hurt)

    back to the drawing board.
it was made of recycled material and scrape metal................should buy that 1'' square steel tubing. and build a lighter one. that stops when the dog stops, but strong enough to take the abuse of spinning constantly. :o

the top piece is currently under 2' of snow till spring.....forgot to put it back on before the snow fell........but going to price out material for the new jenny for spring!
