Anyone know any good places to train in MA or NH? I am 45 min from Mark Dellogrotte places in Somerville, MA and his teacher Guy Chase place in greenland, NH 35 min away. I have been to guy chase's place for one free class and he isn't that personable. The vid Masta of Game posted of the guy getting his purple belt seems more for lack of better words professional. Not trying to hijack the thread this just seemed like an appropriate place to ask.

  6. Work on sweeps the majority of your time.

Anyone can do Americana/Kimuras/Triangles ect,But having a good arsenal of sweeps from all positions can make you unstoppable. There are so many easy ways to inflict pain but being able to escape to a neutral or dominant position is a lot harder

I help train a group of guys for the local MMA org(youtube search "The Kennel MMA").
All of our losses came from them not knowing how to sweep the guy when they are wide open and getting caught up.

I guess the old phrase "The best offense is a strong defense" comes to mind. You'll notice alot of pure BJJ guys will purposely put themselves at a disadvantage by pulling guard cause they know there is a real good chance the other guy will slip up and they will nail him.

just some quote by renzo gracie

comparing a boxer to a lion and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu player to a shark. “ a boxer is like a lion, the greatest predator on land. But you throw him in the shark tank and he’s just another meal.” - Renzo Gracie.
