that dog barely fits in that thing!?! nothing like buying a house and burying your dog alive in the first big snow..

Hell bro you could not even use it in most places around me by time you dug the hole you would have a small pond. I just dont see the good in that thing one bit. Just another way to make a buck. For 400 beans I could make 20 barrel houses off ground with a shade and rain flap with chips in them.. J

  5. it will be dry as a bone. now if it rains so bad the creek rises. i would be more worried about the game room in the basement.

    Hello Mr Miller,

It's a nice design, but like previously posted, cleaning out the houses for a yard full of dogs would just be too much. Could you imagine all the digging you'd have to do. And also, I would see a problem in areas where it rained alot, JMHO.

I think that you taking 20 min to dig a hole 2' x 3' 2' deep is a lot better than your dog digging a hundred 3" holes in your yard all around his box trying to cool off.

as for the cleaning ,you only 2' down ,so it is easy to swipe the ceder chips to the front ,then scoop out with your hands or use a shop vac ,if you got it like that.

As for the rain i live in Hilo Hi. (THE RAINIEST CITY IN THE WORLD) we get over 240" a year. Some times 9" in one hour and the Dogeden is dry as a bone. it's built into the design . but if you plan to place the unit in a bottom were the creek is going to run over from time to time , well then you may want to think it over about putting any doghouse there in the first place. But i will tell you this. when the water reseeds The good old Dogeden will be right there were you put it. not heading out to sea like all other ones on the market today !

IMO, the den part looks very narrow. I also don't know if the built-in tie-out would be strong enough for a determined APBT. The more I look at it, I really like the concept. I just think it needs some tweaking. (And a substantial price drop. LOL!)

  10. not at all

  11. This dog house is built like a tank. Picture a bedliner for a truck. now times 3 for thickness. and the back end is 2' wide Didn't you see my 75 pound of a pig dog go in and turn around?

It doesn't look 2' wide from the pictures. It looks 2' deep and more like 1' wide.

as for drifts dont all doghouses have to deal with that from time to time ? but if you face the opening to the south . that should help a lot.

  14. trust me it is. and i need to talk to my picture man about that.

Yeah it looks cool, but I don't know if I'd dish out 400 for it, seeing as any dog I've ever kept outside did just fine with a barrel or house made out of an old shed

Happy you joined. Good to get some answers for the creator, instead of just trying to figure them out on our own.
