what is the average price when speying a female??????

I had my daughters male dog neutured 6 months back and they charged me $40.00 and i went in yesturday for a check up for codie and to talk about her getting speyed tuesday and they are going to charge me $90.00...to me that is a lot....Do you all think that is normal or what????....JUST CURIOUS!!!!!!!!!

 

Yea thats alot.I would check with your local animal shelter.They`ll be able to find you a good price.I am in Ashville,NC.Home of the Humaniacs though,were if your willing to fix your dog its almost free.

 

Wow..I would say thats cheap the Vet down here charges $150.00 to neuter a 45lb dog...:eek:

 

yea thats pretty cheap... up here in Minnesota its around $100-$150 for a 1 year old... but still i wouldnt spay my dogs though...

 

It would be best to go through the animal shelter to find the best price, i got a female fixed once and it cost like $200 with tax and everything, don't make the same mistake i did.

 

$90 isn't a lot, but I also suggest contacting your local animal control as many will spay/neuter pit bulls & pit mixes for free or a reduced fee.

 

yea iam pretty sure animal control or humane society will do it for free...

 

yea your right jeep here in mn its a rip off, down in iowa where my parents live though its 30 bucks, of course thats in the sticks...

 

neuters at our clinic are all $50 no matter the size of the dog. Spays are priced ranging from $65-125 depending on weight. Although price is variable all over, it's better than having unwanted pups.

that is about right up here. they say the charge is for the anastesia not the opperation. my vet said he looses money off the operation.

 

some rescue groups will pay for half of the altering just to help you out

here it is around $130 for a spay. there are certificates in ga for low-cost spay and neuters and most vets will honor them, but they are supposed to be for nonprofits like animal rescues.

 

I'm paying $54 for having our pooch spayed. She new something was up when I dropped her off this morining. I was a little worried but guess that goes with being a dad.

We are charged by weight of the dog/cat whatever. I believe there is a scale such as 2-10, 10-25 lbs. and so on. The heavier the animal the more it costs. Pain medication is an option and an add on charge.

 

We charge 45 dollars for a small/med. male and 65 for a large male. Prices for females are 75 for a small/med. female and 95 for a large female.

Here in NV its 35-40$ plus tax. I guess we do it cheaper here then most...lol
