Ok, after being raped for a 33# bag of Innova (in the green bag) for $52.00 I was wondering what you all think of these 2 dog foods. Would you rather buy one of these instead of the Innova, or is the Innova better? These are new dog foods to me, so anyone that has tried them let me know what you think! :D

since the topic of raw was brought up. i was wondering how much of a cost difference is there between raw feeding and a top quality kibble. im assuming raw would be a little more work but what else is there to consider. i ask because everyone who raw feeds seems to only say positive things. any thoughts. sorry if i hi-jacked the thread

well let me break it down like this, i buy 40lb cases of chicken backs for around 15 dollars. Add in some other things such as yogurt, eggs, certain veggies (if u choose to use them) and various other forms of meat items including organ meats and ur only adding a few more dollars. The trick is ur not feeding the dogs all the yogurt and eggs and stuff like that every day, once a week is more than enough. There's more to it than just that but its well worth it in my eyes. I used to buy 40lb bags of Canidae for 38 dollars so im definately saving a lot

to the OP , you are still under $2.00 per pound using the innova kibble-which is not a bad place to be price/quality wise.
raw is great- but it takes a very dedicated person to maintain a proper raw diet.

i buy it from my local butcher, i just call him a few days in advance and he orders the case from his distributor. about 40 cents a pound aint bad at all, they are very fresh and i quickly pack them up into individual packs and freeze them

I carry both of these foods at my store. They both sell extremely well and I receive wonderful feedback on them.
I like the acai berries in the Pure Vita, they are a powerful antioxidant. The PV also offers a buy 12 bags get the 13th free.

Remember...feeding raw also involves feeding variety.....get in good with your local butcher and or meat dept grocer and see what he has marked down from yesterday! Too many deals going on as most people by there meat fresh and not usually a day or two old, so they are amrked down tremendously! My main daily feeds always consist of chicken quarters or ground beef.....I switch from chicken gizzards one day and beef liver the next as organ meats! Also feed canned jack mackeral in water and soft boiled eggs! Other than that the variety is whatever is on sale that week!

    YIS
