My friend is looking for a breeder that breeds game bred/tested 100 pounders. Is there such a thing? I personally prefer the classic small pit but I guess variety is the beauty of our breed. Does anyone have suggestions about bloodlines and breeders? Thanks. :D

Your friend should probably be looking more towards weight pullers, or amstaffs, if he wants a 100 pounder.

Yeah...I'm going to bring my friend to the next ADBA show in Topsfield MA this Spring where he can check out Barrett's Bull Pen weight pulling their giants.

Good luck finding any truely game ones. I remember a long time ago Land of the Giants kennels claimed that they had some game big ones and even had them open. But the biggest dog I ever remember seeing a report on from their kennel was 58lbs. And Mayday was bigger than that, but of course he was not bred for size.

Check with "rocksteady" she has some large McCoy dogs. But she does not breed for size either.

That's what I'm talking about...large "McCoy" dogs, that sounds cool. I never really liked any "Fiorilla" back in the pedigree like a lot of big dogs have. So we would be much more interested in "McCoy" blood. Thanks.

  6. rocksteady

    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

we dont have any mcCoys that big anymore ..the ones that popped up were too much dog to handle that is like playing with a loaded gun lol

the only one I have is a tad over 75 pounds, hes not for sale and when I do breed it wont be to get big pups

The only other large good McCoy I know of around MI would be Little 8 Ball...about 90 pounds conditioned you'd have to pm me fora contact. I know they bred him last year but to what I dont know

the only other 2 large McCoys I know of I isnt around and the other is a cur

Rozmus' 8 Ball McCoy was about 95 pounds and he went through a few owners..he was hard to keep and didnt like nothing lol (well, he liked people)

Last I heard he was out in Colorado and then got sold again and is retired..

Indian Creek Kennels has dogs from the Bismarck line that get very large, and if you can find it the Freeman bloodline consistantly produces BIG dogs that are without a doubt full of fire and ability. Draw the Line Kennels has a pure Freeman bitch and I believe the owner has a breeding planned this year.

Draw the Line seems mainly focused on weight pull with their Eddington bred dogs but they have some dogs such as "Beauty" the Freeman bitch I mentioned that are pure game lines.

My big 95 pound boy would do great at pulling but the only thing he would be pulling towards is all the other dogs around! Zero focus on pulling if there is a dog in smelling distance! LOL Talk about hard to handle! What a pain in the but!

Take a look at Texas Heat Kennels. Some of their dogs top out at 85lbs from Champion Alligator bloodlines.
