several reputable breeders have had signs in their yard. i agree with the rest of it though. i would also agree that putting a sign in your yard these days would be detrimental to you and your dogs' preservation.

  2. on the sign idea

Do not put up a Dangerous Dogs sign, etc.....can be seen as admission
DO put up a NO TRESPASSING sign. Same point made with no admission of guilt.

DO join Pit Bull forums to learn what you can from them.

DON'T get so wrapped up in them that you lose sleep because of the latest Internet squabble. If that happens, its time to get off the computer and take your dog for a walk.

DO read and listen, continue to soak up as much info as you can.

DON'T think you've ever learned everything you can learn about this breed, and DON'T think your learning makes you immune from making mistakes, or even learning a lesson or two from newbies.

For the vast majority of people...

Don't acquire a Pit Bull. Too many issues involved in owning the breed now.

Really good thread and ALL the good ones are taken!:p
    How about:
DON'T forget that YOU are the only friend your dog really needs!
DO be responsible and KNOW what you are getting BEFORE you say you want an ABPT. They aren't disposable just because you didn't have a clue!
