Pic of Jeeps Bro CH.Charlie...

Jeep didn't die after show and I never seen a dog that wanted to jump not jump.. Can't make a dog stay and or scratch.. He didnt die and thats been proven.. He has many pic in his elder years he had a scar that was very known and the owner of CH homer thought enough of him to go get some offspring off him..

 

The man who owned Ch.Homer and was present doesn't think Ch.Jeep tried to jump the wall and I've heard him tell the story more than once. It's laughable when people say Jeep died before 1989 because he did not and many a well known dogman can vouch for that and bred to him before the show and again after the show, same dog.

CH Homer was in Jeeps stifle, while Jeep paid no attention and was surveying the crowd. Homer was working away at the three hour mark, shaking out on Jeeps stifle. When he stiffened up and fell over, and he layed stretched out on his side. By now Homer was dying. Fighting this long Homer had to lose some weight. He probably weighed forty lbs or less. So now that Homer fell over and layed on his side not moving, this excited Jeep and he then goes into Homer's throat. He digs in for a couple minutes, and then comes out of hold, picks up his head, his tongue is out of his mouth, he is breathing heavily. Jeep then makes a sudden right turn, and walks away from a down dog, heading for the pit wall. Crenshaw immediately ran over and grabbed Jeep before he got to the wall.

 

Well if thats the true version, then it doesn't look look to me that he curred out, no stimulation after 3+ hours maybe something caught his eye outside the pit. Did he scratch after this?

 

Ok and that story has changed from that same man, why would he go buy pups off a dog he seen about to jump? I know I wouldn't I don't know a man who would especially a man as good as O... JC said Homer was gamest dog he seen, he didnt go grab a few of Homers but he sure raised a few off the dog who was tryna jump..

 

by no means did i ever say jeep was a cur........ any dog that hangs in as long as these two worriors is a pretty good dog in my eyes.

this is just again stating that jeep lacked the finish Charlie had.

 

Never said that you did, but seen in on other threads that he tried to jump the pit etc, but never heard that Homer was down at the time, I had presumed that Jeep was on the receiving end when he was supposed to have tried to walk, Ozzies account would change my view of it, but i don't know i wasnt there.... Just wondering did he a make a scratch afterwards?

 

Nature you might be correct Charlie may have had more finish, but Charlie also wasn't finishing the type of hounds Jeep faced., 3 Ch and a badass 2x.. When Charlie faced a good Ch he didn't finish him he quit to him.... Jeep possibly didn't have finish, honestly not many are true finishers but Jeep also didn't have comp that was laying down to be finished.

 

Jeep did completed his scratch. Homer was unable to go at three hours and 43 minutes.

 

There are alot of half truths and fabricated stories being told on this site. Ch.Charlie absolutely quit to J.Carver's Ch.Hotstick in 1:10 and it was a offical contest and the report did appear in the old Journal. Ch.Charlie was given to Super Gnat for free after his loss and Gnat bred him into his blood for Charlie's ability, Gnat didn't infuse the Charlie blood because it was game he used it for ability. James Crenshaw did say he thought Charlie was better than Jeep because quite frankly he was better than Jeep the problem was he wasn't gamer. This is why you see Jeep in "some" of James old stock and not Charlie. Even though James thought Charlie was a better athlete he did not breed to him once he quit. James also never bred back to Ch.Otis after he quit either. Many point out how Bo lost to Vindicator and say he quit and he did. Bo however won about 6 and his loss was to a very high ability Vindicator who like Ch.Charlie also quit in his last to Gene Cutchin's Ch.Ace in less than an hour for Atlas Brewer.
Reguarding the subject of Charlie being the one who sired many Jeep dogs.......This is completely untrue the dog that sired many of the dogs Jeep took credit for was Ch.Gator a dog Don Brodt stole out west and took to the appalachian mountains. If you didn't go to, buy from or deal with James Garrett back then, you have no idea what you really have if you have a Jeep dog. I may be wrong but I am fairily sure Fatbill was present the last time the actual Jeep dog was bred to a female, a female Gene Smith had I believe Lug, Snug and another I can't recall came from this breeding. ​

 

crenshaw didnt like jeep dogsone he like jeep rascal dogs he said it hisself that rascal produced better than jeep but didnt get breed as much werdo produced better percentage wise than any other dogs that i know of werdo crossed to racsal was amazing cross jfrisco did throw more champoions but there not in the states and now black jack has more champions in the states than anny other dogs

 

i got one off a littermate to Supergnats Caos I'm extremely happy with so far. Best $300 I ever spent.

So true.How many have had a dog go that long and live.People like to say Charlie was better then Jeep.Jeep beat better dogs I believe than Charlie did.That is according to Garrett.I never had Jeep blood but dam give the dog credit.People like to bash a good dog for what ever reason.He couldn't beat this, or that ,or he wasn't a finisher.Well Jeep beat 4 good dogs then went on to produce some winning dogs thats a fact.There's an old saying TELL A LIE ENOUGH IT BECOMES THE TRUTH AFTER AWHILE.

 

Jeep was going into Angus but the owners of Angus pulled him out of the match.Thats why they went and got Ozzie's Homer.
