LOL, i am also looking for a slate mill. I prefer the slate mill. However, i do understand that they both condition dogs in a different way. I guess it all depends on how you are hoping to condition your dog. The slate mill can be noisy, and takes up more space. I have been looking for a used slate for 6 months. Still have not come across anything at good price in good working condition. Good luck in your search.

Its so free turning you have to stay beside it and slow it down, so it don't out run the dog. If you ever condition a dog on a turn table you will never use a treadmill again. You can let them run it wide open free spinning like a slat mill or add some resistance with your foot, and its like a carpet mill. Wind sprints is best, because they have to start from dead stop, which really requires some digging with the back end, and after a min. they are wide ass open. I like doing 4-5 min wind sprints in 3 reps then about 30-45 min free spin.

Well, I like Slatmills and Carpet mills. They both serve a purpose, but after have conditioned several with turntable, I would never go back to either.
But if it works for you and you are satisfied with results, thats all that matters.

i like that turntable idea, but its not practical for me...too big and everyone already thinks i condition my dog to match her since i spend alot of time working her on a springpole, and take jogs at night, walks in the morning. i guess its since i actually excercise my dog, and not keep her locked in the yard all day. but it looks real good...please explain the build up.

So, the turntable is kind of like a merry-ago around for dogs. Was it hard to make? How big is it?

Hey maybe you could hook up a generater to a table/treadmill and generate your own electricity? That way you could have as many dogs as you like as you would be ''saving the enviorment''.Can you see the headlines PITBULLS SOLVE WORLDS ENERGY SHORTIGE!!!Just a thought.

One guy that I know does that w/ a bike. He hops on, does his work out and makes 4-5 hours of electricity for his house everyday. But that was the original purpose of mills, to grind corn, wheat, barley etc. into flour. You didnt think bulldogs had the monopoly on mills did you? In older mags, you see picks of goat mills, horse mills, and dog mills usually w/ a larger "draft" breed of dog in the picture. Pretty sweet, imo.

Think about it if you could come up with a cost effective way to rig it you could sell your exess elct back to the elct companys. If a man could generate 4 hours of juice how much could a bulldog produce in a half hour run? They couldent bust your balls about having a mill.It would put our dogs in a positive light.

if there were an easy to do that i would have like 10 dogs and switch them out to keep power in my house...that would be the shit...then the rest like solar or something
