No I am not affiliated with the club anymore, but I wish them luck, and hope it goes better for them then it did for me. I'm not big on donating anything to a group "The Ark" ( http://www.arkinc.org/ )that is on my public access channel everynight telling the public that dogs shouldn't be kept outside or on chains, and is for saving dogs from the pound with the exception of APBT's. Not really the direction I had in mind when I started it, but like I said, I am not affiliated with it anymore!!

If I were to go, I would make damn sure any dog I carried didn't have a scratch on it!!

Not that any of my dogs has scratches just I wont support it because of the chaining issues :(

  10. We chose The Ark as our charity because they are a no kill shelter that DOES take in APBTs and adopt them out. I have been a volunteer at the facility and have seen several bulldogs come in and be adopted out. The local humane society does not take bulldogs. So, we chose to take up donations for a shelter that does give the breed a chance to have a loving home. As far as the chaining, everyone has their opinion on the issue. I use chain set ups with my bulldogs, but not everyone does. If you do not want to support the shelter, then do not bring a bag of dog food to donate. By all means, don't help feed homeless animals. I am sure the shelter and the dogs will appreciate all of those who do choose to donate food.

I am not sure what you were implying when you said not to bring a dog with a scratch on it. All I will say is that if you have to be that paranoid about bringing a dog to a show, then maybe you should leave that dog at home.

I hope I have cleared up any misunderstandings. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to give us a call at the numbers on the flyer or shoot us an email.

This will be a fun show for everyone. Bring the family and the dogs out and have a good time.

We hope to see you there!

Like I said not what I had in mind when I started the club, but I am no longer affiliated with the club, so it really is of no concern to me who you choose to donate to. I have my opinions about the "ARK" and its agenda and its just not a cause or group I feel has the best interest of Dog Owners rights very high up on thier list.

The reason I said don't bring a dog with a scratch on it, is because there has ALWAYS been people from Humane Society at the shows, and now more then ever. I know for a fact that these shows are being monitored by Humane Society representatives, and data collected and shared to try and incriminate people. I am not saying don't go, and I am not being parinoid, I am just sharing information.

I hope I have cleared up any misunderstandings. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email.

    Good Luck

Someone please shed a little light on the background of Don Meredith.

  13. As far as I know he owns Anarchy Kennels in KY if that helps, and from what I've seen he owns heavy Boudreaux dogs and judges several fun shows in the Southeast...
