BEWARE of the ADBA !!!!!

I haven't been on here in a LONG time but thought ya'll should know whats going on with ADBA. They totally screwed me and my dogs co owner. Apparently you can see any dog on a yard you want, steal pics of the dog from the owners web site, then make a document/ bill of sale copy and paste the signatures and a notary seal with photoshop and EMAIL your new forged document to ADBA and they will issue you papers saying you own the dog without you sending in an ORIGINAL document with pen ink and the pressed state notary seal! Here is what happened. And no the wanna be thief does not have the dog but he now has the papers in his name.

False Promises Get Ownership​

Drayo's Paperwork was obtained under false pretences & lies. The guy promised the return of Drayo for a stud service, he did not honor his end of the deal. Then started the process to get papers in his name! Later had a friend "pretend" to be a lawyer and harass with phone calls. Everything he did was a lie. Now this guy says Drayo is his. ​

ADBA issued paperwork to his thief!!!​

ADBA issued him paperwork without original documents or registration papers using edited pages through email! ​

He changed the words in the papers I sent him to say what he wanted to gain ownership. Then emailed ADBA the changed documents. ADBA accepted these documents and issued registration in his name! Hell, I tried to get a duplicate copy when my name was on the papers and they told me "No, I'll put a hold on the papers, so no transfers can go through with out your and your co-owners IDs." Says Patti Bullock of ADBA Reg Dept.​

Later I call ADBA, and Patti tells me she issued him registration! "He has an iron clad document giving him ownership." ​

I said,"How? There was a hold on the papers! You were supposed to wait for the fax with IDs to confirm."​

"The papers he sent me, gives him sole ownership that you signed and notorized," Patti from ADBA replied.​

"The papers I sent him, were to retrieve the dog and return him to me!!! You better ask to see the originals with pen signatures! Will you send me what he sent you?" I pleaded.​

"Yes," Patti replied. Then she sent me his email to her. I was horrified, the attachments were not the documents I signed!!! ​

There were such words like "tranfer in entirety" & "sole responcibilities now belong to..."! I never wrote that or signed that! He had changed my words to mean the exact opposit of our aggreement! He was supposed to retrieve and return the dog! Everything he told me was a lie. He agreed to retrieve the dog, return him to me for stud services. Then went back on his word. If he isn't a liar, then why did he go after registration? He didn't even get the dog in the first place like the agreement was! Just went after his papers, like a psycho stalker to our Dog. Stealing pics of the dog from multiple web sites over the last year. Just waiting to get off probation, to do whatever, to get Drayo. A little fishy, don't you think?​

ADBA had no original registration paperwork, nor the original document with pen signature and no state notory pressed seal! No Bill Of Sale!​

They had copies from a picture, a jpeg file. Through EMAIL!​

is this right? ​

sounds like infringement to me. I would press charges. Get a lawyer and file a cival suite

 

Oh we already have a lawyer. Went there yesterday. And yes a civil suite is going to be done. But we still want people to be aware because this could have happened to ANYONE!

 

That's why I no longer use their services.

I'd be interested to know the ADBA's response to this situation. Do they know the documents were altered? Have they said anything to clarify their position, or make amends for what happened?

Man, that's really screwed up. I feel for ya, and hope to hear some good luck coming your way. Is there any way you can mail them a copy of the original paperwork so that they know it's a fraud? Just a thought.

 

Well I don't know about anyone else here, but this story sounds about as fishy as the sushi I had for dinner last night. Why don' you take the time to try and explain your story a little better. If anyone could get the whole story from that post, you can sure read better than me. You said he changed the words in the papers you sent him. What papers? Why would you send papers with the dog? Why would you send your dog to somebody for stud service. I think you have that a little backwards there. You also said "The papers I sent him, were to retrieve the dog and return him to me". What the hell is that supposed to mean? Retrieve the dog from where? Why did he need papers? Once again, if it is your dog and they want stud service why the hell are you sending your dog anywhere?

I think a little better explination is in order here before anybody jumps on your bandwagon.

I read in the rules after bahamutt99 closed my thread the other day that info such as email addresses were not allowed in the forums. Why do the emails in the OP still remain there?

ADBA's position now is that they won't accept our phone calls. Patti wont even get on the phone with us now.

 

this seems to be a strange story that didnt make sense to me either

 

The dog was in a kennel 3 hours from me because my city passed bad BSL. This guy ( who the co owner knew ) was supposed to go pick the dog up for us and return him to the co owner of the dog. We sent him paper work with our signatures stating it was ok to release the dog to this person because we ourselves could not go up to get the dog. We agreed to let him have 1 free stud service for his time of picking the dog up, keeping it over night and then driving it down to the co owner. We werent taking the dog anywhere for stud service. When he was ready he was going to bring his dog to the house where the dog would be at. Instead he took the paper we sent him giving him permission to remove the dog from the kennel used photoshop wrote up his own document and then pasted our signatures to it.

it really doesn't sound like the ADBA's the problem... your thief friend is the problem. case in point... just because a counterfeit bill is passed doesn't mean the checker should go to jail.... its the a-hole that created the counterfiet bill.

i've dealt with the Greenwood's and the ADBA sincethe early 70's and they have always been honest and forthright.

 

I agree that the real problem is the thief friend ....but the ADBA should have insisted on original paperwork.....Its no different then if you lent your car to someone and then they decided that they wanted to keep your car ...so they falsify a bill of sale and then go get it registered in their name...would you not lay any blame on the insurence company?

 

I can't believe you ppl are defending the ADBA! Had this been CKC or any other small registry you all would be having a sh!t fit right now. The fact is that ADBA is in the wrong here & they sure as heck should be trying to make this right, not refusing the man's calls. :mad:

As for what went down, here is how I read it, please corrent me Verderben if I am wrong:

The OP could not keep his dog b/c of BSL, so he sent it to a friend. A transporter (the thief) was sent by the co-owner to go to the friend's house, get the dog & transport it to the co-owner. The OP & the co-owner said they would give the transporter a breed back to the dog in payment for him transporting the dog.

The OP sent a letter w/ the transporter so that the friend knew it was OK for him to release the dog into the hands of the transporter. The transporter then took the letter that the OP gave him & altered it on his PC to make it look like the OP transfered ownership of the dog to the transporter when the OP had in fact not.

The transporter e-mailed the altered document to the ADBA & the ADBA then took his altered document & used it as proof of as transfer of ownership & issued a certificate in the transporter's name instead of using the original registration certificate for transfer of ownership like they should have.

Am I in the ball park here?

Also, where is the dog?

 

If it were me...I would just go down to the guys house with a bat and smack him across the mouth with it and then I would just take my dog back....but that just me

 

ABK, i am defending people that i've known since before you were born. I know that they DID NOT knowingly FALSIFY papers. THE TRANSPORTER DID!

WHO'S GUILTY? THE TRANSPORTER IS.

I'm equally sure that the paperwork can be dealt with in a way that the OWNERSHIP will go to the right party, if not, PM me and I will call Renee and Patty for Verderben, if he PM's me ....

As for the guilty guy... that's up to verderben....

 

I have to say I agree with Oldog on this one the Greenwoods family and the ADBA are probably the least shiesty folks I have ever known.

I do have one question though, if said dog was being kept by a kennel and I would assume a kennel owned by someone the parties involved knew, then why would a phone call not have secured the transporter the release of the dog?
