I have two, 10' X 20' kennels that are 8' tall. And the rest are 15' - 20' chain spots....I like to have "extra" room, you never know ;)

Ya, i plan on getting 2 10X10X6 feet kennels in the next couple months for thefact i might be getting to more dogs. And it would only be for a saftey reason for my house dogs being let outside and im sure they run straight to the outside dogs. I would rather use a chain setup for the fact its cheaper and way more room for the dogs. But its the saftey thing. Can anybody suggest something. I dont really feel like spending 500-1000 right now on 2 kennels and then a chain set up inside the kennel.

what if you set up chain spots or runners for the house dogs to be put outside, when they go out side?

It'd be alot cheaper than buying the kennels...unles you found a good deal in the local peddler/trader paper.

I can prob do this since there is already a run at are back door for 1 out of the 3 dog's. Just kinda a pain. But i was thinking around the summer time my dogs are chain up outside all day in the summer anyway unless i am outside with them then the 3 dogs are with me the whole time. That would prob be the best bet though for just letting the dogs use the bathroom. The only other option i was thinking about was parting off part of the yard for the too dogs give them about 20 feet each on a chain setup. Then using electic fence all around there area to prevent them from leaving some how and my dogs from getting to them. Plus it be a little cheaper.

Each dog has their own chain spot with a 15ft. chain.

We have 3 10x10 kennels, 1 brood pen(sky) and I dont even know how many chainouts. We're currently looking into some property so we can relocate what little bit of a yard we have left...No more 4 partner yard. That sh!t doesnt work when only 2 people do ALL the work...

Well, I am extremely fortunate, because we bought a house in June that sets on almost an acre and a half, but the back yard and front yard have seperate chain link fences. They share a fence, but the rest is all seperate. It really makes things a lot easier. However, before we moved to this place, I purchased a Magnum Kennel because we moved a lot! I purchased it for $500 in 2003. We are still using it as I speak.
It may seem like a lot of money, but when you think of it in terms of possible vet bills, it's fairly cheap. Another upside to the kennel is that you can easily move them to wherever you need them. We have also extended the kennel before, by mounting it to the side of our block house (using the house as one side) using very large corner posts to stabilize it and it extended our space to 10 x 20 instead of 10 x 10.
Now, I use the 10 x 10 kennel, and I also use 20 ft chains on axle set-ups. I cannot live without my chains, LOL. The dogs seem to love them more than the kennels (except for one). We are also going to build two more kennels that will be about 6 ft wide and 10-12 feet long with an aluminum roof-over. These will more than likely be used for pups too young for the chain, or females in heat.
