  1. I'm sorry, but how ignorant are you? Every breed of every domesticated animal started as other breeds mixed together to create a new breed. Horses, cows, pigs, cats, dogs, you name it. Every new breed has to start with it's own KC because they are not accepted by the group KCs (i.e. AKC). And easy to make a new breed? Didn't this breed start being created something like 40 years ago? I wouldn't call that easy. And I believe he created the registry for plenty of reasons that had nothing to do with the APBT community.

I definitely feel u, i had an Ambully before i heard they were called that and i would never call them mutts. When i think of a mutt, i think of a dog that no one knows anything about its history. It may be mixed but almost all dogs are at some point. Back in the days they called dogs bull and terrier dogs, u have to accept the name sooner or later.(or just be like the AKC and never recognize)

Hahaha, no sh*t, sherlock.. yeah, okay.. people had been line breeding Am. Bullies for so long.. righhhhhht... I'm done. I've got friends with Am Bullies that know nothing about ABKC, and still call 'em pit bulls.. I've done my part in trying to explain to them.. I'm done.. maybe ditchwitch can let has massive flow of knowledge flood their minds.. haha, I'm sorry for disrespecting you, oh so smart one. But I don't think mass puppy production = new breed. But if they were line bred, that'd be a different story.

Sorry, I just can't hear you out on that.. because my main reasoning in even debating is that I believe the "ABKC's" main reasoning in creating the registry is because, if their dogs are no longer registrable, they ain't worth jack. And that's a whole lot of money.

I beg to differ. It has a lot to do with the pit bull community. Dave Wilson and all his American Bully friends have ridden the coat tails of the APBT to cash in on a fad. Now that the APBT is under intense heat with BSL, Dave and his buddies have jumped ship. It's bad for the bank account if your "breed" is on the banned list!

It is a blessing for us that they're trying to call these dogs by a different name, but their motives to do so are less than speaky clean. Don't believe me?

Nope. Try 15 years. Funny how these dogs used to be called APBTs and now they're sooo far removed from those "aggressive pit bulldogs."

Either way, I'm glad the split was made. Let them do what they want with their "breed" and whoever wants to buy one...whatever. What makes me sad is that the damage has already been done. If I get asked ONE more time if my 40lb girl, Champagne, is a puppy or mixed...I am going to explode.

    This is it!

Diesel, I'm sorry but you have yet to come onto this site and post anything productive. You entire purpose here has been to push your mixed breed dogs on us as APBTs by throwing out every excuse in the book. You initially proclaimed your dogs to be APBTs and even bred them as such (I still remember the pictures of all those pups). Yet, after much arguments from members, you recanted and stated you don't call them APBTs. Yet here you are, STILL proclaiming the same old crap!

You, and no one else with intentions like yours, are going to be able to come onto a site that is full of knowledgable and educated people and convince everyone that your dogs are true APBTs bred solely from "larger APBTs." Hell, one of your dogs looks more like an English Bulldog than my OEB does! We're not the stupid, ignorant everyday Joe Shmoes we all run across on a daily basis. So to think we're ignorant and/or gullible enough to buy the excuses of people who purposely bred mixed breed dogs for size, stature, and reputation-gaining abilities only to them proclaim they are true APBTs is ignorant on your own part!

People, I am truly tired of this never-ending debate by bybs & peddlers to try and ride the historical name of a breed that they do not own! It's a disgrace to the breed and has proven devestating to the dogs!

If your (anyone!) only purpose on this site is to try and convince us "fools" that your 90+ lb mutts are APBTs, then please find another site that is truly full of real fools that believe as you do! This crap-pushing has gone far enough!
