Here is the email i recieved today.
Hopefully, this is better for you scratchindog, i know it is for me.
Let me know if any of you guys are interested in attending.

    Hello Everyone;

It has been awhile but, we're going to try this whole "let's have a club meeting" thing again... and see how it flies! I have great expectations for this group this coming year. Here's the low-down:

When: February 10th at 2:00 PM
Where: Heather and Sal Ramsey's home
    13 Heather Court
Douglassville, PA 19518 Please use Mapquest
    610-331-7722
What to bring: Your ideas for what you'd like to see happen with this club for the coming year. What would you like to get out of it and what can
you put into it? Some ideas that have already been brought up are: using our lure coursing equipment for public events, weight
pull demo's and seminars, conditioning seminars (including the use of various treadmills), basic first aide seminars, breeding
and whelping seminars, show handling demo's. I'm open to any and all ideas. I think we even have some CGC certificates
    laying around.

Snacks. I will be bringing a cooler full of sodas & water. Please feel free to bring chips and/or dips, deserts or whatever floats
your boat in the form of "munchies".

We will be "instilling" a couple of folks into club offices as well that day and I would like to give everyone an update on what's happening with the Tri-State APBT Club and their efforts towards the upcoming ADBA Nationals being held in NJ this Fall.

I hope to see you all there and if you can't be there, and you have a burning issue that you'd like discussed or an agenda item placed on the docket, please contact me before the meeting and I'll be happy to present it for you. See you then.

I'm gonna have to check my schedule but i might be able to make it. I am new to the whole showing stuff so i don't really have anything to contribute to this meeting, but i'll try and think of some things and see if i can make it out

There won't be any shows this year due to budgets. There will be seminars (fundraisers) for first aid for dogs, weight pulling, conditioning, lure coursing, treadmill, flirt pole, keeping multiple dogs in kennels, and dog laws. And our 1st seminar is First Aid on Sunday April 6th 12-3pm.

ok sounds good, so whats gonna change in terms of the actual shows themselves?

Well, it was said that the number of show attendees has pretty much stayed the same. However, the number of people actually entering their dogs has dropped. Many of the long term existing members feel that the reason is....people do enter thier dogs for the first time...and see the competition...and get blown out of the water...and for this reason they shy away from re entering their dogs. Perhaps a seminar showing people how to properly condition a dog for a AADR/ADBA show would help. Going over the standards and explaining the differences compared to the UKC,etc standards.

I guess overall the seminars are aimed at giving people a better understanding of how to train/handle/condition for the shows. Also at the same time raising money for the actual cost of a show. Which at this point the club does not have the budget to run shows. Hopefully, by next year we can get the AADR and ADBA show in Pottstwon going again.
