Sorrells or T.Garners

Both have very good lines and great producers... But bloodline for bloodline what would you chose, Sorrells dog or T.G.

 

Depends what you want the dog for there have been great examples of bulldogs from both lines.

 

Man this is tough, pound for pound... i would take Sorrells. However, i love T.G. dogs. And was very interested in a few of his breedings... i really like his stud Dynomite. I guess it really depends on what one is looking for, they both are excellent choices.

 

True indeed... It all depends on what you are looking for. But as far as success past or present, what's you're opinion.

 

Sorrells... TG is the man, however everyone else knows this too and is runnin Frisco this an that.. Whole lotta dogs on the ground. W/ the Sorrells, you get all the pluses and few minuses IMO.

If I had to chose one, I'd go with T.G.'s dog...However, like many have said above, if I had the oppertunity, I'd get one of each.

 

Sorrells bulldogs woudl be my choice. people around here have kept that blood for a long time, and they are some great animals.


THe more important factor is who you get a Sorrells or TG dog from.

 

Thats it right there. I dont think the Sorrells dogs have been watered down as much as TG's stuff. Just MHO.

 

I think almost all bloodlines that are accesible to the average peson have been watered down, but with that being said of course my personal perference is the Sorrells stock. TG is a great guy, has a wealth of knowledge, and no one can say that his track record isn't outstanding. But my personal opinion on the dogs and I can only base this on what I have personally seen is that the Sorrells are a more well rounded animal. I actually had a dog off of TG's stock a few years ago and she was a good dog, just not something I wanted to base my yard off of. What we all have to remember is that dogs (and peoples choice of dogs) is like their choice of ice cream some like vanilla, some like chocolate, and some like strawberry.

 

If I Had To Chose Ill Pick Ether.If I Was Going With T.G Stuff I Wont Get Any Frico Stuff Maybe The Old Stuff Not The New.the Same As Sorrell Stuff. I Wont Get The New Stuff. Not The Same As The Past Sorrell Good Dogs. Where When Lanes Had His Stuff.I Wont Even Go To Tatonka.Maybe for a pretty dog lol

 

I personally prefer TG not based on the standards that alot of you are going by because my knowledge of the breed is not extensive just wanted to give my opininon because I own a dog from TG and he is all i could have asked for.

 

Why are you against the Tantonka.. will I don' t want to say against, but what's your opinion on their dogs?

 

Well they might be pretty but I can assure you they are also all bulldog, There is no major difference between any of the Tatonka or Bert stock other than they have chosen to make their outcrosses in different directions. Tatonka using Carver and Bert using Redboy. All of their dogs are founded on the same stock.

 

If selecting from just those two, Sorrells.

 

I'd call Tom and get a Frisco X Little Gator/Buddy Boy dog, if you can handle one, Little Gator dogs are not couch dogs

I've only seen a few with Berts family of dogs in them and they were only 1/4 outs, so I cant give an honest opinion

 

What's my opinion on there dog's there garbage.that's my honest opinion.Now if you are in Conformation showing and looking for a pet bull I recommand one of them or sorrells. Sorrells dogs are not the same as before.

 

My friend, there are Sorrells bulldogs that are very much worth feeding, maybe you just havent seen the right ones lately.

45+ years of breeding this same line of dogs, I think he knows if they are garbage or not. I believe he uses what he breeds.

I think you were a twinkle in your father's eyes when he started breeding his line of dogs...
