Nasty "outside dog smell" how to get off dog? alrady bathed twice!??

i just got this male pit, and i've washed him twice, and i mean good hard core scrubbing, i've used regular dawn soap and dog shampoo and none have worked to get out that dog smell. he was an outside down and i don't think he ever had a bath in his life...what would get that smell out? please help...he can't stay in the house until it's GONE!

if you use some sort of dish soap like palmolive and then use a good dog shampoo after this usally does the job for my dogs.Just don't use the dish soap often,only when nessasary

We have a dog that stinks too I tried three different types of dog shampoo, dawn dish soap and nothing. I would give her a bath like 3x's a a day till i got the smell out. But even sometime she still stinks. I think its just the dog. Good luck! Get some nose plugs cause ugh they stink!

Try the jet sprayer at the carwash.

Use vinager and water or a solution of Hydrogen preroxide and water..like if you were bathing a dog that was sprayed by a skunk. Let the solution sit on the dog for at least 5 minutes then rinse

i have the same problem when I wash dixie I can poor water on her and she so oily it just rolls of and she never gets wet.

The vinegar solution works wonders, and there are some new aromatherpy dog shampoos and sprays out there that are suppose to work great. I haven't tried them yet, but I've seen them at the local co-ops around here.

Try this slice some lemons up very thin and add them to a pot of boiling water them let it boil for about 45 mins then let it seep for a while then wash the dog with shampoo,rinse and then soak him in the lemon juice and then just let it dry on him it should work
