Yeah its great for pups. Sprinkle a little bit on, mix with warm water, and then they devour it. Its so amusing watching them flip the feed bowls looking for more.

I have heard about a few other products. However, Vertex work great IMO.

I supplement with flaxseed oil, nothing more. It's natural and brings out coat shine. I used to use raw eggs, but stopped out of fear of food poisoning. I really haven't used any of the "supplements" out there because if a dog doesn't look good naturally, what's the point?

  8. I know what you mean! Very true!

If your dog is eating proper feed then it needs no supplements unless in a Keep and on a home made feed mix.

^wholeheartedly agree. if your feed is good, imo, no need to supplement.

i like to use a supplement called NuVet. the stuff has givin me amazing results. i don't use it every time i feed though. just a couple times a week has been quite effective.

Good kibble is essential... i agree. However, if your dogs are constantly active...I cant see why adding a supplement, would not be helpful.

Professinal athletes and MMA fighters have some of the best nutrition and diet programs around. And they still opt to supplement the regular food intake with supplements/vitamins/etc.

If a dog(s) are mostly inactive, then a good kibble should be more than enough.

I like a good Omega3 natural peanut butter and fish oil capsules. Some egg noodles and a 1/2 of a frozen chicken breats with less than a handfull of kibble works well with us. The last work we did before a show our boy came in perfect. You could see every muscle in his body with nothing but diet and roadwork. TripleJ has been using the same method for 15 years and it WORKS...Our dog was a hopeless romantic though.

Anyone ever supplement 'jack mackrel' in a dog's diet? I heard it could/can lean them up prior to a show or weighpull event.

  16. Ummm...it actually puts weight ON them...it does not take it off....;)

Apple Cider Vinegar will take it off!

Creatine does nothing in the way of joint lubbing. If you want to remove lactic acid after it builds up then your on the right track.

FK: Really? Huh, maybe that is what I heard. I THOUGHT it was take it off, but, it looks like I am wrong or confused. (Again)

I have done the apple cider vinegar thing and did not see much results. I used, shoot, I can't remember a little bit/gallon. How much per gallon should be used? I know the boys really liked how it tasted. The smell, to me, is pretty nasty.

  19. i use some stuff called THE MISSLING LINK. had some people from michigan turn my mentors on to it and then i started using it to. i personally am very satisfied with the results. it improves their digestion of food, and man what a great job it does for coats and skin!

Heads up! If you use protein powder, I can give you a 5-10% discount off your order. Just PM me. I personally use the stuff and it's the best tasting protein I've ever had. If I'm lying, I'm dying. Dogs can use it, too.
