So just to clarify are you saying a Zebo/Vindy dog couldn't look like this?

yeah, she's not poppin up on mine either. Well, this is good stuff to hear about them old Zebo dogs. Ive usually heard the 30min rule is how you measure them. Its good to know that there are still some out there livin up to the old dog. I was just on another board last night, eli dogs was the topic and how they can be fond of walking away w/out any signs. Heard the same about Zebo bred dogs too... Do any of yall know of any crosses to diff lines w/ Zebo that are throwin high % dogs?

woody: Here is another pic of India. I hope this works:

GAPits: I did not say a Zebo dog could not look like Anne. My post was actually about the Lonzo strain of Zebo dogs, but a lot of the Luniewski dogs look like yours. From what I can see of the pic, it looks like she has some leg under her & appears she has a nice physique. Her muzzle looks a bit pugged & she looks as she may have a slight underbite, but I hear that is from the inbreeding in the Luniewski stuff. My Lunie girls had pugged muzzles & slight underbites too. Why that comnes up I don't know, as the original foundation stock did not appear to be pugged muzzled or undershot.

Yellaman: I don't know the %s, but some crosses I know right off the top of my head that are good ones are:

    Zebo/Eli
    Zebo/Greenwood
    Zebo/ Sorrells
    Zebo/Snooty
    Zebo/Jeep
    Zebo/Charlie

    Hope this helps :)

Well for percentages I can only speak from personal experience and close friends that have personal knowledge:

The two that have been consistent in producing are Zebo/Eli & Zebo/Greenwood. The others might have produced a few here and there but for consistency those seem to be the only ones.
I personally would not cross the Zebo/Sorrells as I have seen it done several times and it was extremely dissapointing.
I would also like to say IMO that if you use Zebo you should use a little of that with alot of something else, it seems that percentages are much higher using Zebo as the kicker. :)

Abk- thanks for the info on those crosses. Ive heard of some of them being made but didnt know if anyone had put together anything diff or not.
Dredlok- yeah, its always good to be underestimated. When all the blah blah blah turns in to open mouthed silence. Have yall had any problems w/ inbreeding them? Ive noticed that a bunch of the lonzo dogs that Ive seen are now poppin out red instead of black...? Am I mistaken in thinkin that is the new direction of that family?

GA-you gotta link for anything Z/G? I really dont know what he built his strain on. Have you seen any RedDevil/Zebo crosses that worked?

ABK I just love Baby. That little face looks so sweet. Thanks for the clarification about the Lonzo dogs. I like the old pics.

ABK, beautiful dogs and great confirmation.

I wouldn't classify Lonzo dogs as Zebo dogs however. The Lonzo dogs are mosty built around Vindicator and Mike. The highest percentage of Zebo in any of the Lonzo dogs I think is only about 12%. Now the N.Toby stuff I would definatley classify as a Zebo strain. Now, I too do not know how Zebo is really bred, but I do know that the N.Toby strain works well with the SixBit/Maverick strain of Eli dogs!

    BTW, what's up Dred Lok?

ABK, what category would you put Lonzo's Snake in? Snake dog is on the "squatty" side but is supposed to have tons of drive. Well, at least that's what I heard.

BTW, you have some beautiful Zebo dogs.

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been on the thread. I will try to catch up.

Envy's Mom: Thank you for your kind words. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but Baby is really a cutie. As she is getting older she is getting this round cute little face & you want to pinch her little cheeks! :p

Mr. Mark: Thank you sir for your kind words. And yes, you are right in that dog by dog, Lonzo dogs are more Vindy than Zebo. However most ppl consider them "Zebo" dogs b/c there is a high % of Zebo's component blood in them as well as the blood Zebo himself contributed.

deepsouth: I do not know how I would classify Snake. I have only see one pic of him & it really didn't show if he had good lenght of leg or not. but even if a Lonzo dog has stumps for legs but has great drive (as is often the case) they are still not true to type as the original type was not squatty. Further, the squatty dogs are often big headed, alligator mouthed & pugged nosed, so as drivey as they may be, most perform poorly.

China's mom: I've been here. I was the one who put the pic that is in your sig on the 'Net.

All you have to do is look at the first page of this thread. See the pic of KEI you pointed out? I posted that. It came direct from my PC. I had scanned it from an old SDJ ad specifically to use in that post that very day. Then you started using it in your sig shortly thereafter (which I do not mind at all, b/c as soon as I posted it on the 'Net it became public property).

As for your pic, I do not know it, but from your tone, I suspect it is KEI. Is it? And if so, where did you find the pic & who posted it on the 'Net? And tell the truth - no telling tales out of school! :p

The trouble with zebo is that he was breed to hundreds of bitchs.Anyone with a stud fee could breed to him.Therefor he threw a lot of curs. But that would be true with any stud dog that was bred that much. The puppy pedlers had a field day with that dog.He threw alot of hard mouth dogs. They just wouldnt go much past 30 min.I do disagree about short squaty dogs being 30 min curs. The gamest dog I ever saw go was the shortest squatyest dog you ever seen.ITS ALL ABOUT THE HEART!
