Had to put my dog down today :(

I had a weird, sad day today. I had an appointment I THOUGHT for today at 3:45 for my dog Rommel at the vet. So I go in and they are like oh you have Chelsea. I was like ummm no I have Rommel. And then they were confused because they had Rommel down for 3:45 tomarrow and apparently my mom had called this morning and made an appointment for Chelsea at 3:45 TODAY. So that was weird and we were all confused, but they saw my dog anyways. My mom came with Chelsea and I was just coming out of the room as she went in. So I paid and then went in with my mom to see what was wrong. So Chelsea I guess had been throwing up blood, and has been falling down alot. She just turned 16 years old on the 4th of this month. They decided it was best to put her down because she has been getting worse and worse lately and just wasn't comfortable anymore. My brother couldn't come, but my sister and my niece came and my dad came. We all went back with her. So I am very sad. We got Chelsea when I was 10. I have been crying all day. My mom is having her cremated and we are gonna spread her ashes somewhere when they come back. I will miss her. She was a really good dog. Here are some pics of her. They are the only ones I could find on my computer, they are from christmas a few years ago.

Sorry for your loss, nothing can be said to make things better. You got 16 years with the dog and that is awsome, you probably have alot of great memories. Just keep those thoughts in your mind and your heart and your dog will live on forever.

I hope you recover from your mourning soon. Was Chelsea a purebread APBT? If so, what did her bloodline consist of?

Sorry for your loss. I'm sure she was a great dog while you had her. How is your other dog dealing with the loss?

She was an APBT mix. We don't know what her dad was.

My other dogs are kinda confused and they acted kinda sad yesterday. They seem ok today though.

VERY sorry for your loss....:( 16 years is a mighty long time to spend with your canine companion, tho, and i hope fond, happy memories of her will help to ease some of your sorrow.
take care and God bless. RIP baby girl...

Its always hard when you have to have one put down.

Two years ago I had to have my Doberman put to sleep and even now its hard, like if I see a black/rust Doberman especially

I've been told it gets easier.

    We had Storm cremated too...

Hang in there though.....it gets easier.
