Artist chains dog in exhibit - leaves it to die - CROSSPOST

This is a very graphic thread. Guillermo Habacuc Vargas had 2 children catch this dog. He paid the kids for this. He then chained the dog and used the dog as "art". He told everyone not to feed this dog. The dog died in the gallery. He calls himself an artist. I call him an animal abuser. In that event, (in which the dog died) he was chosen to represent his country in the “Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008″, the petition site is to sign to boycott him , so he won’t can participate in the event.

What are your thoughts on this and would you take a vacation in Costa Rica knowing this. The link below is graphic but there is a petition you can sign. FEEL FREE TO CROSSPOST THIS TO EVERY SINGLE FORUM THAT YOU BELONG TO. The word needs to get out on this.

i spent 3 mouth in coasta rica wonderful place but after knowing this i might take another trip to caosta rica to kick this guys ass your said something about a petition wheres it at ill glady sighn it, thats horrablie i always wonder what goes threw peoples head when they do stuff like that was he not loved enough as a kid who knows sick sick man

Are you kidding me?? And no one turned him in...no wonder why people now adays think its ok to abuse animals, b/c people like this get away with it.

 

From some of the comments that I read on that link, I beleive there are 3 organizations that are now trying to get this guy put away.

This is really some sick sssh.....tttt . I would give that man a real beating , then leave his a$$$$$ on a chain for a couple of days. And don't get the part with the vacation in Costa Rica. I would still go on a trip there , but still kick this guy in the face.

 

well, i guesss my definition of art differs GREATLY from this guys'...and i was an art major and have worked in art galleries throughtout Boston for over 10 years....

I read about this on myspace. Very sad, poor dog.

In some countries, they do not care about animals as much as we do. In China cats, dogs, rabbits and other animals are boiled alive, skinned alive, and beaten to death in a sack for food and for their fur.

This story can also go a long way toward spawning more anti-chaining ordinances. These types of stories prevent people from understanding that people can tether responsibly.
