Been giving to my pup RF-1 on small dosages and i noticed positive results, i dont work my dog yet but i sure hand walk him alot, hes just 8 months old.

Soon i'll test that on my old dog that is almost recovered and i'll be able to walk him again after 6 months of being chained to my bed recovering, this gonna be a real test because he lost lot of muscle mass and has 0 stamina due to 8 operations, antibiotics and all kind of shit and inactivity.

  4. Im not expert...but I think you're right.

  5. hey marshall do you use this? i got a sample from b.g. and i never really noticed a difference. do they need to be on it a while? i know some hunters...not hog hunters, bird and coon and stuff like that, who use this and say it does amazing things for recovery after a weekend of hunting. i'd be intrested if you would share your experience with this product.

    thanks

I know a guy that use's it for his coon dog's. He says they are stronger and can go longer without being tired or thirsty. He also use's it for his females with pups to help put weight back on, but I myself have no knowledge of the product, except what I've been told. His dogs look good to me.

i am going to tell you exactley what you need to have the best looking dog at the show.

    (1) a physically healthy and sound APBT

    (2) a good leash and collar

    (3) a good pair of running shoes and plenty of fluids for yourself.

    (4) time,gumption,dedication and patience

    (5) a good high quailty feed

thats all you need to have a nice musclar looking dog,no need to put junk into your dogs system when you can achieve longer lasting honest results with just a little more time and patience,[IMG]

  9. And that was hit right on the nail!
    So very true!
If you have to use something to help them for a show, then you need to check all of the above and make sure they are in check!

I won't use supplements. I want to know what my dog is naturally so as to make an accurate decision on breedability. (Is that even a word LOL)

The dog that looks soooo good on supplements, and wins shows while supplemented, may just throw you a litter of dogs that will again need supplements to show. How is that bettering the breed?

exactley,i could not have said it better myself.folks call me old fashoned and stubborn for my stance on that crap.but at least i know for a fact that my dogs are the top specimens of the breed, and you just can not get that when your doping your dog up.

  12. IM the same way and catch flak for it. Oh well. The only supp. that I DO give on a regular basis is Glucosamine. I want my dogs to live a long, healthy, pain-free life without the problems of Arthritis. I dont want my dogs to suffer in the future for how I exercise them today.

Well that ain't to bad,i just had to start taking that osteo bi flex myself.sure does make a diffrence in these old bones so i reckon it ain't gonna hurt a dog none either.but when you get into steroids and creatine and such thats bad news in my opinion.you didn't need that crap in the old days and when i was a young man so you sure as hell don't need it now is the way i see it.

    Hey Boogie,

I'm very unfamiliar with this product, never used any supplements for my dogs. A buddy of mine came across it. We're just looking for a supplement for recovery, nothing more. All we do are 15-20 min post workout rubdowns. Sorry I couldnt' help...but if anyone uses or have used this product, please let us know how the results were.

    Thanks,
    Mel

I use the supplement int he dogs, it works great for helping increase work capacity. But the poster above must not have an understanding of exercise and nutritional supplementation. Many athletes use anabolic steroids not to "bulk-up" but to aid in recovery after intense work outs which allows for more rapid progression. So if you dog is an athlete or a work dog, then the use of supplements to enhance recovery and ensure proper nutrient balance and hydration, this is a totally valid idea. I speak from both scientific and practical experience, I trained for years in BJJ and Muay Thai and even fought professionally for 5 years, but I no longer compete as I have a full time job and prefer to spend as much time as possible with my wife and kids. But I job in the pharma industry and my area of expertise is nutritional biochemistry.

I am sorry I don't mean to be rude but you come off as a condescending know it all. When what you say is completely ignorant to the truth. Some people chose this breed because of their original characteristics and wish to use those characteristics to their benefit. I use mine as work dogs on a small pork and beef farm. They are my predator control. but I also love to push them in training to.

There was a guy on a euro forum that had tried it and damn near killed his dog , found he needed to give less than the recommended "dosage" and he noticed alot of good changes in his dog, more lean and ready to go..

  18. I've used muscle up on hounds off and on as needed for years? Never had a problem? Just have to make sure u jabber plenty of water in the dog. Its basically a creatine supplement for dogs....I use it post workout for recovery...nobig deal.
