  1. I am looking for a new female dog. We just moved to Nebraska and bought our own house. We had a horror with our 2 pit bulls about 3 months ago. We where living on a farm with a friend. our friend never pens or chains her dogs. and thought we shouldn't. We told her and her son all the bad things that can happen when you let a pit bull run free. her young son while we're at work let both our dog loose to run and went in to the house. 10-15 mins later they both got hit by a train. We have since then move far from that place and will never got back We are now heart broken and are looking for a new pit bull friend. We have checked the news papers in our areas and only find pups with no papers for $250.00. Can some one please help??? We are near Batrice Nebraska.

I'm sure you did not know, but no advertising for buying or selling pups is allowed on the site...but if you stick around and get to know a few folks and a thing or two about our site, you never know-after awhile an opportunity might arise. ;) Until then I would check your local shelter -rescues are also posted in our forum occasionally. I am so so sorry to hear about your dogs.

  4. Yes they said they never get any in. We moved to this town there are pit bull all over but no breeders. We have pit bull window stickers on our van. with in the first 3 days of us being here my hubby was getting gas and was asked if we fight dogs about a week later we again asked if we roll. We think there is a fighting ring close by. We have been invited to a fight but thats not our flavor of things. I think if the shelter gets them in I don't think they adopt them out because of the fighting going on the shelter people seem anti pit bull :( We are looking for a family kind of dog we want to know what we are getting ya know?

I wanted to say that I am sorry about your loss. That is a horrible way to lose a friend...This dog is in Omaha, NE at a Rescue. It's about an hour and a half away.

This cutie is a bit further away in Lansing, KS (3 and half hours).

If you are just wanting a pet, I'd go with a shelter/rescue dog.
If you are wanting a working dog or show dog, I'd go with one from a good breeder. While it gives a needy dog a good home, with rescue dogs you never really know what you are getting. However, when you purchase a dog from a reputable breeder, you know the background of the pup. I would suggest sticking around the site. Learn as much as you can on food, housing, health care, conditioning, bloodlines, etc. There are some very nice members on the board, who will glady help you with any questions you may have.
    Good luck !
