Pitbull dragged to death

ORLAND, Ind. -- An Orland man who was angry that his pit bull had killed his Chihuahua dragged the pit bull to death behind an SUV, police said.


Kevin Collins, 20, was arrested and charged with felony animal cruelty. He remained incarcerated at the Steuben County Jail on $10,000 bail Saturday night.






A woman driving along a county route on Thursday saw the animal being dragged along the dirt road, noted the SUV's plate number and called 911, police said.

Police said they found Collins at his parents' house. Collins told police he dragged his pit bull because it killed his other dog. ​

Afterward, Collins dumped the dead dog along the road and left it, police said.


If convicted, Collins could be sentenced to six months to three years in jail.

what an a$$ wipe. First makes the mistake of thinking his APBT isn't capable of hurting another dog, and then making the mistake of viciously murdering the dog, when it was most likely either a)following natural instincts, or b)the little dog was being a pain, and the APBT ended the annoyance.

 

Another 2 dogs paying for their ignorant owners mistakes....

Yep....another dumb a$$ that dosn't need to own a flea, and get only 6 months. Gee, lovely judicial system! They say it starts with animal abuse then escilates to abuse on children/spouses and maybe even murder. They may need to keep their eye on him.

 

He's a real P.O.S. The pitbull killed his other dog because he had no clue about DA, or how to properly care for either dog. My gut feeling is that story of killing a chiuahua was his poor excuse, and he probably didn't even own another dog. He probably thought that with the APBTs rep...he'd get off free by twlling some b.s. story. He was just somehow trying to justify that sh!t in his own sick mind. Another example that codifies every anti BSL slogan. Punish the deed not the breed...the two legged monster on the other end of the leash, etc., etc. The sad part is the fact that I am surprised that this article even made the news. No matter the severity of animal cruelty the APBT still comes out the villan.

You know, good point. The humane league/ aspca should know if the dead chiuaua was found. So should the arresting officer.

 

I wish this clown lived in my area, would enjoy making his life hell. How in the hell do you drag your dog behind a car ? People like this need to be taken out to the woods and put in a burlap sack while being beaten over and over with a sock full of D batteries. Sad part about this, this chump will serve little to no time for a crime like that.

 

You have to triple layer the sock, or the d batteries will rip it.

 

6 months-3 years if convicted of dragging your dog behind your vehicle. 30 years if your associated with testing/matching of your dogs. Hmmmmm...:confused:

 

yeah, i've known some less than friendly and reputable people. and amongst themselves animal beaters/killers are provided the same consideration as child molestors. so i'm sure he will enjoy his time in the pen.

 

LMAO! i figured the brick in a sock was sufficient as it only requires one good whack.

 

When I was in NY, the bricks were called "ALLEY APPLES", which would be no good in this case, because they are too effective. He doesn't desreve a "ONE HITTER QUITTER".
