That American Bulldog put his leg up there like he was lassie getting ready to shake hands, and got his lights turned out and and stuffed in a garbage bag, and piled on top of other dogs. If I'm a dog, and had a choice between life on the chain, and shaking hands with the ASPCA, I'll take the chain, and a nice cool mudhole to lay in.

 

Not a good spot at all. The only good that came was the reporter admitting that the estimated $500 milllion dollar a year dog fighting industry with over 40,000 participants nationwide were exaggerated estimates by "activist groups." Although it was only a second it does expose the bias of groups such as the ASPCA, PETA, etc. Other than that I agree with all of the above posts... misinformation, etc., etc.

 

Yeah there was enough crap on there to where I might actually cancel my hbo!

 

If ya'll were to call and cancel your HBO subscription maybe the message will get out that they made a mistake.

Be sure and clearly tell them why you are cancelling. I don't have HBO, but if I did, by the remarks you have posted, I would most likely cancel mine!

I don't have HBO. I'd love to see it, even though it will most likely piss me off just like it did everyone else who has posted. I wonder if it will be on the internet, so I could watch. If anyone knows, let me know.

It was straight up BS. Real dog men steal PUPPYS and then make sure they cant hurt their pit dogs? Get the fucks out of here with that bull snaps, son. Real dog men roll their prospects on dirt? Please HBO, your full of so much shit. The only thing they didnt try to twist was the fact that the dogs dont even try to bite/attack people. All the dogs seemned friendly even though they looked kinda pissed off in the mud on their chain spots. I would definitly voice my opinion to HBO if i actually paid for that ish. I feel good now knowin i screw them out of money every month, damn liberals.

 

Well atleast they didn't bash the breed. I did find alot of what was said BS, the ASPCA should know better. Dogs on thick chains are not to strengthen the dogs, its to keep the strong ones from snapping thier chains. I loved how when ASPCA lady walked by the bitch that was wagging her tail....yea real man killer there.

I'm not sure on that little black "test dog" it might have gotten beat up but I do not think it was used as a try out. More often than not up north here it is very common to find dead try out dogs taped up around the muzzle, my sister finds them all the time but it does seem to be more of ghetto style of training hence the areas my sister finds them.

I just wish if anyone was gonna cover the subject they would do it with real facts and show the professional way things are done vs. the ghetto way. There are definitly 2 styles of fighting and the picture is very tainted becuase of ametuers and it discredits the dogmen of old and the hard work they did in creating such dogs to be worthy of owning.

Very true...the bottom line is that those with an agenda to serve don't give a $h!t about balanced and fair reporting...nor do they care about unbiased facts. If you have a special interest group with money/supporters their goals are apparently more attainable this day and age. Regardless of hiprocracy, etc. It's really a sad state of affairs. Apparently, a seven year old child who's parents make her protest in front of the Atlanta courthouse for Michael Vick's trial is a more powerful message than underlying truths.

 

well, what sucks now is that i have already had two people come up to me this morning and start stating what they heard on HBO like they now know everything and want to convince me that our breed should be banned. I wish they knew how many idiots they create by showing this BS.

I find it very interesting to see who has and has not posted on this thread. It shows the transparent line that divides us.

I completely forgot about watching it yesterday. From what I have read in your posts, it would have made a vein pop. I am so disappointed (although I did not figure any different) that a network who advertises not being controlled by sponsors would decide to use "REAL SPORTS" as a medium to UNDER inform the masses. Yes, things that they mention do happen in the USA and other countries. That unwanted activity is the result of a combination of ignorance, misinformation, dark self, and Media coverage. I have spoken to many 'hood kids/teens/men that live in my area about dog-dog matching in both historical and underground contexts. They (some) seem to understand how it should be in contrast to how it is portrayed by the Media in general.

I personally suffer within my own family for what I believe to be right. I have never hesitated to go against what is popular or accepted. I trust my conscience and instincts to dictate right from wrong. I am always open to hear opposing opinions as long as I may be able to reciprocate. We are living in a funny world you and I. A world which will jail man or woman for helping a terminally ill friend or family member end their days BUT will kill a dog at the drop of a hat. A world where HBO can televise a "brutal" boxing match in which one drops on the floor and never gets up (literally). A world where HBO promotes a boxer such as the "game" Arturo Gatti not for his skills but for his inability to quit while down but same attributes in a canine are deemed vicious and unwanted. A world where men create glorious movies about courageous men such as the SPARTANS (300) yet cannot or will not acknowledge the beauty in a sport where canines specifically bred for this purpose finesse courage.

It is a shame where things are going and much more shameful to know some of those who do right by these dogs prefer to go into the shadows rather than fight for the tradition bequeathed to them by the men before him/her. I do not hesitate to say it a thousand times, the PROFESSIONAL sport of dog matching is as much beautiful as boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Tai, Thai Boxing, and Mix Martial Arts. Human owners of these canine athletes must wear the hats of guardian, trainer, manager, and promoter.

I love this breed and all dogs in general. I am sure many old and young in these dogs do as well. Let us all send our gentlemen/women comments to HBO and REAL SPORT. It may or may not make a difference but it sure has a better chance than to come b!tch about it in a public forum.

i watched and hated it they sured showed alot i mean for now one who has a understading about dog fightting the hole frist 2 min where dogs fight blood and a died dog lieing on the ground and thats what every one say right off the bat the hick they had there as a guest sure didnt do any one any good its another dark day im at a lose of words i know theres goiong to be alot of back draft due to this hole incitent

 

The way I see it is if "real dogmen" don't and won't do a public interview into the true way it is supposed to be done than all you are ever going to see on TV is what you saw last night.
